Strickland says about an Obama VP offer: "If drafted, I will not run; nominated, I will not accept; and if elected, I will not serve," he tells Michele Norris." He said on Tuesday, long after Clinton's concession, dunce.

Yeah, everyone should click those links and try to make their own decisions. The fact that the most clueless dumbfucks end up looking like even bigger douchebags when they try to refute them is just a bonus.
You are 100% right, he said he doesn't want VP under Obama BUT HE SAID THE SAME THING UNDER HILLARY. So, both implying he won't support Obama (he will) and implying he doesn't want to be Obama's running mate as a bad thing, when the answer under Hillary was the same... You are just posting links and lying. It's not more complicated than that. You are posting out of context. Here, let me help you.

The nominee is different but the answer's the same: Gov. Ted Strickland has no interest in being vice president.

And Strickland said last week that he would campaign aggressively for Obama.
Back to ignore you go. You really do just make shit up and hope people won't notice among all the bright shiny red links.

Where the FUCK did I make shit up you useless cunt? How can anyone even interpret the state of the Democratic party as anything other that total fragmentation? Shiny red links? Out-of-Context Soundbites? What kind of cosmic mongoloid actually NEEDS anything other than the last five month's worth of undeniable evidence that the Democratic Party is shattered exactly in half?

I KNOW I was 100% right, I didn't fucking need to give you Strickland's unequivocal refusal of Obama's ticket to show you how divided and distrustful the classic democrats are of the the radical antiwar liberals that Obama represents, that's evident to anyone who can analyze the facts he couldn't help but observe during the last five months.

Misrepresenting the context of an a publicly available interview to support your preposterous implication that the Democratic party is ANYTHING other than fragmented doesn't just make you a faggot, it mostly lights you up for a giant fucking douchebag, too.

  1. Strickland on VP: November 7th, 2007
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Quote:
"Strickland repeatedly has said he is not interested, even invoking the famous quote from Civil War general William Tecumseh Sherman: “If nominated, I will not accept; if drafted, I will not run; if elected, I will not serve.”

“I have said repeatedly that I am not presumptuous enough to think that I would even be considered for the vice presidency but if I was, I have no interest at all in the vice-presidency,” Strickland said. “I love being the governor of Ohio and will do whatever I can in that capacity to help Sen. Clinton win. But you just can stop any thought of the vice presidency, that’s not something that I’m interested in.”

  2. Strickland on VP: June 10th, 2007
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Quote:
"If drafted I will not run, nominated I will not accept, and if elected I will not serve," he told reporters. "So, I don't know how more crystal clear I can be."

  3. Strickland on Campaigning with Obama June 11th, 2007
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Quote:
Strickland pledged to campaign with Obama "every chance I get if he invites me."

"So, when I ran, unlike John Kerry, I tried to communicate to the people throughout Ohio, big cities and small towns as well, and I would hope that the Obama campaign would pursue that strategy and go to the rural areas of the state and the small towns within our state...," said Strickland.

On Friday, June 13, Strickland will campaign for the first time with Obama, who'll be accompanied by his wife Michelle. They'll be in Columbus at an invitation only event with senior citizens as part of the campaign's two-week "Change that Works for You" tour, focusing on the economy.

This should put to rest the misconception that Strickland has anything against Obama based on his VP comments. Strickland is even attending a campaign event with him today (the 13th).

And that disproves seething discord in the Democratic party right? Strickland's comments before and after Clinton's concession reflects the bitter distrust of establishment democrats against Obama's clutch of professional charlatans. I only mentioned Strickland parenthetically (literally parenthetically) when discussing the unlikely premise that Obama is a "unifying" figure despite how this year's democratic primaries disenfranchised millions of Michigan and Florida voters and how the acrimony that lingers approaches the level of the McGovern campaign.

But instead of giving us anything to refute what has been said about Obama countless times, that FagOfFag dork tries to snipe a "GOTCHA" then slinks off into ignore and you think he's somehow reasonable for that?

No, I think the discord in the Democratic party and to a lesser extent the Republican party is very real. I just do not believe that Ted Strickland's comments really represent this divide as he seems to be more or less coalescing behind Obama, though not as warmly as Obama would like I'm sure.

I didn't address OneofOne as reasonable, unreasonable or in fact, in any manner at all.

i don't think there's serious problems in the democratic party. hillary is a selfish whore so she drug it out as long as possible. for anyone that loved her and pretends to hate obama...they just need a little time. i'm sure some might hold a grudge for longer, but it won't be many. they will be voting obama in november. even the dumbass feminists will eventually realize obama is more in line with their stances than mccain.

i will second the notion that the republicans have a far worse problem in this regard. it's painfully obvious that quite a number of them don't support or like mccain and it's been that way for a long time. maybe they go vote for him anyways or maybe they just stay home.

back to the topic...yeah rush and hannity are full of shit. so are some liberal radio hosts. don't listen to them. if you care about other people listening to them then offer those people an alternative.

LOLWUT?

I know you must be aware that the Democratic nomination was a brutal slugfest on par with the (disastrous) McGovern campaign, so you must also be aware that Obama kinda skated along with a 200-delegate lead in early JUNE, that's a lead of less than 5% of the total delegates and the contest was bitter and undecided until just over a couple months before the convention.

Whereas the Republicans chose their candidate in February, with a margin of 1,575 delegates for McCain and 267 delegates for Huckabee. That's a margin of about 70% of the total delegates and the contest was concluded decisively in February.

Uh.

Now, I voted for Huckabee myself, and to say that I was surprised at the outcome is an extreme understatement. Actually, the sensation was closer to shellshock. And I'm still not really sure where all these moderate/independent republicans came from who chose McCain so resoundingly, but I assure you, anyone who tells you that the Republican party is "divided" or "uncertain" about the election is willfully ignoring how quickly, how thoroughly and how TOTALLY McCain commanded the approval of the Republican party.

There is simply just no way shape or form that the ultra-conservative voices like Anne Coulter and James Dobson can matter anymore when they have been so vocal in their opposition to McCain for months prior to the primaries and yet he still somehow racked up such a historic victory.

There are a few good points to make, however. I think the "fight" between obama and hillary is hyped by the media and some on the right because they want it to be a "brutal slugfest". I just don't see it as being that bad. It's a contest and both of them wanted to win it. Some rabid hillary supporters may be angry now, but I just don't see them being angry in november. Not most of them anyways. Once they have time to think things over they will realize obama is a far better choice for them. If for no other reason then it will be for the judges.

Also we must consider the differences in nomination. The democrat's way lends itself to making the race last longer. The republican way makes it easier for an earlier knockout punch. That doesn't mean mccain has tons of support within his own party. It's very obvious that mccain has a more difficult time with his own party than obama will. This will be more clear in a few months since obama just recently finished her off. Mccain has had several months now to get everyone to support him, yet he still has a problem with it.
