I find that listening to "The Best of Chicago" just really drives me to explosive fits of violence. I saw them in concert and their pits are just insane.

That sucks, man. When I saw them open for NIN some guy had the nerve to block my punch with his nose.

For cardio stuff I'm a big fan of Muse, nice calm stuff with good beats.

For weightlifting nothing gets the job done like Behemoth, Nevermore, In Thy Dreams, and Hypocrisy

Cardio I love hardcore, you run a nice brisk pace with the breakdowns.

Lifting, I listen to a mix.

Danzig (self titled album)
Monster Magnet - Dopes to Infinity
Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power
Slayer - God Hates Us All
Iron Maiden - Killers

for some reason, that lineup of albums simply gets me pumped and I don't even realize I've been working out for a couple hours. When I stop I feel like ground beef on one of its worse days. Def. not something I would like to repeat more than every few days hah.

No gangsta hip-hop in this thread? I like to listen to music that makes me want to shoot someone while I am working out. I don't like to think nice things when I am working out. So for me Wu Tang, Method Man, 50 Cent, some Eminem or anything else where they are talking about mass amount of homicide is good.

Most of the working out I do is either with weights or Karate, so its all about relatively short bursts of energy for me.

Metallica - Kill em All

The definitive thrash metal album. You can't go wrong with an album that has song titles like Seek and Destroy, Whiplash, and Blitzkrieg.

I cannot listen to metal or rock while I'm working out. The best thing for me is music with steady hard beats - like electronica and pop.
