Virgin Mobile Festival 2008 Lineup Announced

Lineup is here: VIRGIN MOBILE FESTIVAL 2008

Looks interesting enough, although not sure if its enough to make me pay the prices they want. I've been meaning to go the past two years since it started...friends have gone and had a blast.

I'd be excited to see Underworld, Bloc Party, NIN, STP, The Go! Team, Armin Van Buuren, Soulwax, and Chromeo (among others...).

Thoughts? Anyone thinking of going or gone to a previous one?

Damn, I didn't even realise that STP had got back together until just now - no tour dates for the UK though yet :'(

That dance lineup is impressive on it's own, though the only one of the live bands I'd want to see is NIN.

I don't think so. $175 for 2 days? NIN, STP, Foo Fighters, and the Offspring alone could get $50 each by themselves. Plus you're also paying to see bands like NIN and Underworld that are pretty rare to see on tour.

I mean fuck Bob Dylan probably charges $100 each for nosebleed at his concerts.

$175 for all of those bands is a fucking steal. If you saw them all individually you'd be paying $1000 easy in ticket prices.

Last night my best friend talked me into getting VIP tickets with him. It's expensive as hell, but it should be a lot of fun.

I'll be going to this one: VIRGIN FESTIVAL CALGARY 2008 by Virgin Mobile

Nowhere near the lineup of the Baltimore or even Van/Tor ones, but it's better than nothing. Lots of Canadian content. And my tickets were like $110 for the weekend, which isn't bad at all.

Good Canadian lineup. I'll be out there staying with family for that weekend. Excited to see Matt on tour again (with band), it's been far too long. I've got ticks to his show here on June 11th too.

Yeah, seems like I've missed the past half dozen times he's been through town. Only seen him once or twice, and I'm a big fan. He keeps playing tiny fucking venues that sell out instantly, though.

lol, yeah, the guy is a complete asshole and thinks he's the best shit ever, no doubt. But he does make some damn fine music.
