| LMFAO. I agree 100%. I love it when Artie breaks out that Animal House quote. He is the fucking man at quoting movies (especially Godfather). edit: Warrik is also correct. Howard totally instigated it. I do believe he honestly thought it would be typical of every other argument on the show (radio gold). I think he underestimated Artie's temperament and is probably feeling pretty bad about it right now. Especially if he has listened to the replay. Artie gave a lot of signals that something wasn't right.

+1 Internets | I'm pretty convinced that Artie quitting was a bit. They've done similar things that seemed so realistic you'd say theres no way that's fake. But I remember an extreme act, a couple of years ago they had Benjy freak out and threaten to beat up a staff member in defense of Anna Nicole... they had to hold him back from lunging at someone. And it was all an act to make Anna like Benjy and it sort of worked he got a little bit of action from her when she was still a cow. ~~~ They fakely tasered a guy every time a hot girl got a question wrong in a quiz game, in order to get her clothes off through guilt. They had a mentalist on and if you have Howard TV you could see how they cheated through every trick because of bad camera angles. Through all of this Howard was pretty convincing he's actually a good actor. Last edited by Seig : 04-12-2008 at 12:05 AM. |

| cant believe people listen to howard anymore. The show lost appeal when Hank died, Stern's wife left him and Jackie left. i was a huge sternie since the mid 80s and was even a guest on the channel 9 TV show yet i cant stand to hear it anymore. its boring. |

| Howard really hasn't been funny for a while now, although Artie's rants/stories are still gold. Been listening to O&A more lately and Jim Norton is funnier than anyone that goes on Howard's show. |

and for those who dont know, the 0.0 refers to O&A ratings in 2 different cities. You could put a midget playing bagpipes on FM and 0.3 rating.

| The only time I heard O&A had a 0.0 were in Chicago and Vegas, both of which the ratings came out right after they came onto the air in those areas, which obviously doesnt mean shit. And yes Jimmy Norton > all the douches that come on howards show. |

| How did O&A stack up in ratings compared to Howard? I found this article discussing their ratings on CBS stations, using the same slot Howard had. Quote:
Meanwhile, O&A were mostly along for the ride with the company that had the subscriber advantage. Which is not surprising given XMs superior music programming (my wife has it), which most people care about far more than talk radio.

| I'm debating this really. I'm listening to the wrap up show and hearing artie talking about all the details, about who he talked too and what they said. Like not just his friends but the big wigs at Sirius. Will be on howard tv tonight...I cant wait...maybe. Blame Gary for saying that.

+11 Internets | In the spirit of plugging radio shows. Adam Corolla replaced Stern in some West Coast markets. He even went on Stern and got his blessing or some shit before. I've been listening to some of the podcasts of the show lately and he is, as always, hilarious when he's not working scripted. He was always crazy awkward in interview and heavily scripted type segments on shows before, and always completely awesome when free to just rant and rave. So if you want something else to listen to I guess, give it a whirl. Always thought he was one of the funniest guests on Stern back in the day.
