Thanks for the links. I didn't know Artie actually resigned and Howard accepted... That sucks. Artie was really aggressive, even early on in the segment: yelling at Teddy to "Shut the fuck up" while he was talking about the passport stuff.

I caught a little bit of Bubba's show where he talked about it. He said the replay was pulled (I had noticed they were playing Monday's show) and SFN was taken down. Howard was obviously freaked out and wanted to listen to the show again over the weekend (and I guess the vacation).

Damn shame we won't hear more from Howard for 10 days. I wonder if new developments will be discussed in other shows (Bubba and Ferall, assuming they aren't also on vacation) or 100 news updates.

Howard's show hasn't been funny since Jacky the Jokeman and Billy West stop doing the program. Those were the good ol days when he was miserable with his first wife,and guys like andrew dice clay and gilbert godfried would sit in..

Howard needs to end that sham of a radio show,and just run the replays.Those are gold

Are you trolling or have you just not listened to the show since he came to Sirius? It is fucking hilarious and most of the stuff would not have been possible on terrestrial radio.

Anyway, he runs old shows on Friday's. They even had an All-Billy-West special about a year ago.

People who are still complaining about Jackie being gone are like the little kid in the toy store crying because mommy won't let him get something. Please grow up. You obviously haven't listened to the show since they've gone to Sirius.


I don't know what is up with Artie. He needs help badly. Yesterday, was the first time ever I disliked him. He totally went over the deep end for something dumb. Just fire the guy if you don't like him or isn't doing the job you want.

PS: Jackie has his own show on Sirius too, 6pm Central on Tuesdays. It's a pretty good show too when I catch it.

I listen every once awhile on torrents at work, and the new show is not even close to the old show.

When shows have to work around the FCC it can make them more amuseing,because there angry. I miss the angry days..
Its like when letterman would fight with GE.

You realize jackie barely ever spoke on the old show? It was the relentless ripping on him that made it funny.

I would rather listen to Sal and Richard phone calls than them ripping on Jackie for the umpteenth time. I also got tired of Jackie laughing at his own jokes (the one he supplies for Howard to deliver). Benji writes much better material.

They do rip on Artie a lot (fat, sleeping, drugs, hookers) but he is much better of the offense. I really enjoy hearing his one-liners when they have a whack-packer on the phone or in the studio. Also rivals Howard at making fun of the staff (JD, Sal, Richard, High Pitch Mike, Lisa G, etc). Even Fred cracks up, which never happened with Jackie.

Anyway, you are free to like Jackie more than Artie. He is undeniably a larger part of the history of the show than, say, Stuttering John or Casey Armstrong. You are missing out if you haven't been keeping up with the show these last two years, though.

I understand that the "we hate our bosses" drama added a lot. I used to love listening to Scott Ferall when he was in Atlanta, bitching about the station he was on there. I didn't care about the sports portion, so I stopped listening to him on Sirius when I realized that it would dominate his show.

My favorite person by far was Billy West. I think he used to visit twice a week for a couple years there.. Man what a show when he was on.

I won't deny that Billy West was great. His Jackie Puppet was fucking hysterical. You don't even need the real Jackie. Bring back Jackie Puppet with Billy West doing the voice/jokes and the show is golden.

edit: Just FYI for others, Billy West was a voice actor whose most notable work was Ren & Stimpy at the time he was Howard's show.

Radio at its finest, and I know Stern is supposed to be a shock jock and whatever, but he's just as much to blame as Artie for inciting the fucking riot on the show. That's fine, that's how that kind of radio works, but to act all concerned and innocent afterwards is galling in the extreme.
