Sevendust - Chapter VII Hope & Sorrow

One of my all-time favorite bands. (Up there with Metallica)

I just downloaded the pre-release (AKA pirated) and must say it's an amazing album. Certainly will buy it when it comes out on the 1st. Highly recommended listening if you're a fan of the genre.

Really been a fan of this band since I saw them in concert a while back. Was going to see another band, but Sevendust was playing as well and put on a hell of a show. Will have to check this out, didnt even know they had a new release coming!

I'll have to check it out. I've always liked them musically and vocally, but I do find their lyrics to be incredibly shallow and repetitive. In most bands I wouldn't give it a second thought, but I just find them to have so much potential to be something more than an angst-rock band, which is really what their lyrics amount to most of the time.

Listening to it now. It's definitely one of their better albums. Track 9 is some good shit.

I hear that on all of that. Most of the albums were not really that great after home. I went to a concert in nm because they were headlining it... yeah they canceled.. fuckers.'

I am stoked to hear that others think this is a good album... better not be fucking with me,.

Worth mentioning: Clint is back in Sevendust now.

Awesome news for 7D fans (like myself), though I'm sad to report that it means we won't see another Dark New Day album. If you're into Sevendust and haven't picked up the DND disc, it's fucking excellent.

I had been meaning to pick that CD up. Now I definitely will since you're recommending it.

I just don't know yet. I like a couple things but so far the CD sounds uninspired.. I'll have to see how I feel about it in a week.

That's the funny thing about most Sevendust albums. (For me anyway.) Listening to it the first few times, I find maybe a couple of songs that get me going. But after a few more days, I literally become obssessive, finding myself screaming the words at the top of my lungs while driving.

Give it a chance. I promise, you won't be disappointed.
