considering St. Anger won a grammy for best metal performance, i would say that is an appropriate description.

Actually it sounded really processed and overly produced. It sounded like a bunch of faggoty bitches who lost touch decades ago. Didn't Kirk Hammet say in an interview that the band they're most like is Sum41? Metallica was metal for 2 albums and then quickly declined into fag.

This also won a grammy for best metal performance.

Don't get me wrong, Jethro Tull has put out some awesome stuff. But yeah.

That was the year Metallica got robbed, first year there was a an award for best metal performance also. At that time I think some conservative shitbags gave the award to Tull because Metallica was too hard. Fukn sad when suits decide who gets awards instead of fans, either that or they polled people that were more familiar with Barry Manilo than Black Sabbath...

Hope Unforgiven III sounds nothing like Unforgiven Tooooooo. Wasn't a terrible song, just a real let down after the original. The Unforgiven was the song that got me into Metallica.

Going purely off what I've heard from clips from the rest of the album I'm pretty sure Unforgiven III will be better than II. Don't think I've heard any riffs from Unforgiven III yet... though in one of the clips on Mission: Metallica I recognize one of the riffs and remember thinking if that was Unforgiven or not.

We'll see I guess.

Damn, didn't look at the date of that post at all. Weird though, two days ago while coming home from work, I heard a song. If it wasn't Metallica, then it was the closest sounding group to them that I've ever heard on mainstream "hard rock" radio. Kinda glad that I may have been wrong, since the song ended up sucking.
