+3 Internets | Plug: Muffgoat (Metal) This is my friend's band. They are a self-described Psychedelic/Progressive Metal band, been together for around five years now, but just recently have taken time off to write a lot of new songs, buy new instruments and change their 'sound'. At this point they've gotten as far as playing in quite a few smaller venues in downtown Vancouver, attracting pretty decent sized crowds playing anywhere from 30-75 minutes. They have had a few small releases, demos and whatnot, but are still waiting on their first full album. I'm not a huge fan of metal, but I like to support the band, and they are all pretty talented guys and I can really appreciate their love of music. Their new stuff is pretty catchy as well. Most of the new songs up on their MySpace I believe were created using music software, so I don't think the drums are actually being played and there are no vocals yet. I think some of you music gurus out there would probably catch that, but don't think they are fakes, I have heard them play pretty much every song and they play it just as well as it sounds. It's just the system they follow is one or two guys write the song on the computer first, then the rest learn to play it after. Anyways, any of you metalheads out there have a listen and let me know what you think, I can report back to them if they're on the right track or not.
