+12 Internets | Help me choose which PRS fellow guitarist! Well I'm buying another PRS guitar this week. I own a CE24 10 top, which has always been guitar #1, but now PRS has released the CS 250. Good lord this thing sounds sweet. THICK sound, with a bit hotter pickup's that the more vintage CS 245's. I already own a strat and a couple of Les Pauls, but I was converted to PRS about 7 years ago. My problem is deciding which color of the 250. I want the satin finish for this one, but can't decide on the natural or cherry wood. Both sound and play fantastic. Cherry? ![]() or natural? ![]() |

| Cherry for color, flame top for texture. If it's those exact guitars you're looking at, then flame top wins as the curly maple isn't that defined with the satin finish. Good to see another PRS owner here - I've got 22 Custom Artist with curly maple amber top and love every minute of playing it. |

| PSRs are nice... as far as your choice tho... Both are really nice, that's a toss up there. I'm a fan of natural but the Cherry looks good too.

+14 Internets | The Veneer on the Natural looks terrible, why they would split it I don't know, from a woodworkers stand point I would go with the Cherry since they used a solid veneer for it and thus makes it look like an actual solid body. The Quilted Maple is nice but not if they are going to split veneers like that and do such a terrible job book matching them. |

| Yeah I missed that too when I was just glancing at it scrolling down. But anyway yeah, I like the look of the Cherry anyway, but I generally only like wood-grain on a bass so I'm sort of biased. Fixing to be in the market myself and was just planning on another Les Paul but I might seriously consider a PRS, I've always loved 'em but fuck, Pauls are awesome. Enjoy your new toy man. |
