has anyone used Tickets - Official MyCityRocks Ticket Exchange - Cheap, VIP, Suites - Concerts, Sports, Theatre ?

They have tickets that are not much more expensive than they were originally.

So, gossip from my friends in the music/radio business says that Radiohead will make a surprise appearance in late May at the Sassquatch festival in Washington...hmmm?

Whoa there hostility. Didn't see that post whenever you did it; I only keep up to date on Radiohead's website, and they just put those dates up yesterday there.

Any more info on this? I'm probably going either way, but it would go a long way to helping me convince more friends to drive 18 hours with me.

That's about all I know and all they'll tell me. I'd go just to find out (plus it's a great lineup anyways; hi2u Flight of the Conchords!) but it would be $150+ per person easily =/

Christ they are playing alot of festivals this year...

Pitchfork: Radiohead, NIN to Top Lollapalooza 2008 Bill?
Quote:
Lollapalooza 2008 hits Chicago's Grant Park August 1-3, and it's looking like this year's fest has gone to the gloomy and the angry. A report on Chicago Tribune music critic Greg Kot's blog Turn It Up indicates that frequently unnerved Radiohead and perennially angsty Nine Inch Nails will be the guests of honor at Perry Farrell's next party.

According to Kot, "industry sources have confirmed that Radiohead has been booked as the centerpiece of the festival," not terribly surprising given all of Thom Yorke and company's other planned festival activity. Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails will occupy two of the fest's three nightly headlining spots, and it's doubtful anyone will bat an eyelash if Jack Johnson winds up with the third one.

If jack johnson is the thrid headliner I may have to hurt myself.

Philadelphia show date just announced. August 12th, 2008. Susquehanna Bank Center. 7:30PM.

EDIT: Has anyone bought tickets from the pre-sale Radiohead does on their site? Anyone able to fill me in on when those tickets tend to go on sale and if you need a password or not.

Another important note:

For Radiohead's North American dates, Liars will be opening for the May dates and the second half of August. Their dates in the first half of August will be opened by Grizzly Bear.

Two fantastic opening band choices IMO. Although it's tough to choose, I'm very glad Liars are opening for the shows I'm attending.
