I don't care what their justification for having Nickelback on that list is. It is still Nickelback.

There were a hundred good songs in 2007? that list imo is way too long for a single year.

Rolling Stone is trying so hard to be 'hip' again it's embarrassing. I was looking over their best albums of 07 earlier before seeing this posts, so weird they're relevant to anyone still

I knew there was someone else out there who liked this song! PFM, you and me, I'm afraid we're awfully alone.

The song is pretty good, Myth Takes is better than I originally thought the first time in general though. I could list a lot of songs I liked more than it this year, it'd probably be in a similar position (little higher maybe) if I made a top 100

I'm honestly ashamed I scrolled down far enough to even see this "song" title.

I used to be a fan of !!!, but after experiencing the raw cheesy-ness of their live show I haven't been able to listen to them since.

Yeah, one hundred songs seems to be pushing it for a certain taste. Like both lists seem to just choose artists that they can at least get away with seeming somewhat hip and then the track they liked from them for the year. So the PFM list has stuff like that Shellac track (seriously, what the fuck. best of 2007?) and the Rolling Stone list I don't even have to say anything about. Still good to remind me of some stuff from the year I'd forgotten about. As in, that I hadn't listened to Modest Mouse's Spitting Venom since Monday and that needed to be remedied.

Rolling Stone has been a joke for years now... so who cares.

I thought PFM would have given more love to Beirut. Oh well. I had strawberry Jam and Panda Bear in my top 5 releases of the year.

Same for me - I got it, liked it but not incredibly so. I listened through to it again recently, and found that I liked it a lot more.
