So I saw The Cinematic Orchestra last week at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. This guy opened for them, and I thought he was actually very good (doesn't happen much with openers in my experience). He's nothing like Cinematic Orchestra, but I figure some people here might like him. Being semi-stereotyping, but he's a black dude from Brooklyn and I never expected this type of music to come out of him when he walked on stage.
