Unless you're DZK, stop now. He's the only one I've ever heard make rapping about nerdy stuff sound good.

Amazingly, his stuff doesn't sounds far off from what's on the radio and MTV. Just proof that rap sucks, I guess.

yea, hate to say it, but you just don't have that "I actually am a cool cat" rap voice. more of a " i think im a cool cat but i don't realize that i'm not pulling it off" rap voice

Loved the Godfather-esque album art too. Completely original stuff there.

OK here is a small list of really good rap / hip hop that you never see on the radio, I ** the ones that are just amazing.

underground/mainstream lyric heavy:
**Atmosphere - You Cant Imagine How Much Fun We're Having
Aesop Rock
Brother Ali - Shadows on the Sun
CunninLinguist - Will Rap For Food
Eyedea & Abilities
Soul Position - 8,000,000 Stories

classic hip hop style:
**Blackalicious - NIA, Blazing Arrow
Common - Resurrection
People Under The Stairs
A Tribe Called Quest
Masta Ace - A Long Hot Summer
Talib Kwali - Reflection Eternal
**Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
Black Star -
Little Brother - The Listening
The Fugees - The Score
Jurassic 5 - Feedback

violent stuff but not G unit style:
Big Pun
Immortal Technique
Big L
**Jedi Mind Tricks - everything but the new album is just amazing
Killah Priest - Heavy Mental
Method Man - Tical

I suppose I'll just never get it. I listened to the ones you flagged as "amazing", but I didn't hear anything musically innovative or at all thought provoking. It's all the same to me. Oh well.

Man I would enjoy Jedi Mind so much more if they didn't have so many homophobic and intolerant messages in their lyrics. I mean, I get it. You don't like gay people. But do you really have to shove it down everyones throat in every other song?

Otherwise, for someone who doesn't like rap, they're fucking awesome. Blood Runs Cold, Animal Rap, Speech Cobras (Pi clip ftw), Blood In Blood Out and On The Eve of War are all great.
