(+44) / Angels and Airwaves

It's kind of funny. I've never found myself to be that much of a Blink-182 fan, mostly because the group presented themselves as a bunch of douchebags on a regular basis. However, with their non-Blink related projects they've produced a lot better sound that anything previously released.

Liked Tom's Boxcar Racer stuff and now the recent Angels and Airwaves stint. See "The Adventure", "Distraction".

For the other two - they put together "(+44)". Again producing some rather good tunes. See "Lycanthrope", "When Your Heart Stops Beating", "155"

How can you have Alexisonfire in your sig, hear Dallas Green's vocals, and then try and stomach Blink182 singing. Its like nails on a chalkboard. Emorock written by 30 year olds.

Blink 182's last cd was damn good, but I still didn't have high hopes for either of these bands. And I hated boxcar racer. HATE. But I've been suprised, they are pretty good.

i also thought blink's final cd was actually good, was a lot more mature than they usually write.

although i like toms voice better, i think angels and airwaves has made the better debut between them and +44. +44 seems to be more like blink 182 while angels and airwaves seems to be going in a completely new direction

blink is one of the few bands that i can put on and listen to every song on every album, much like rancid.

I loved box car, liked the lyrics and the atmosphere of the album.

+44 not a huge fan of, only heard like 2 songs.

AVA is decent.

But blink was better then both

I was a huge fan of the +44 CD the first couple of times I listened to it. I saw them in concert shortly after their cd leaked so I didnt know the songs all that well. I would have to say the concert wasnt that great, aside from travis playing drums the whole time with one arm. Now that i've listened to the CD more I really love it. It still sort of has a blinkish sound with the beats, moreso than AVA which is a lot slower.

I still think I like AVA a little more than +44 but I cant stop listening to the +44 currently.

I finally downloaded both AVA and +44, and I gotta say +44 is really incredible. I was very suprised with how much i enjoy +44. AVA is also good, but sometimes their songs drag along.
