New "Brand New" November 21st

Any brand new fans here?

They have released a new song on their myspace called "sowing season (yeah)" it's simply amazing. Makes Deja entadu sound simple and bland. This band is so great musically and especially lyrically even on their first CD "Your Favorite Weapon" during their more punk phase. Very underrated band.

Finally someone else. I've been trying to drop them in numerous threads without seeing an interest. Fantastic band, the lyrics are just outstanding. Check out the album.

I have 6 of the songs from the new release if anyone is interested. my AIM is Karmapolice5166.

I'm a HUGE fan and these songs so far have not let me down one bit.

It's hard for me to take a band called Brand New seriously. And come on. I listen to Tool. There's just a certain ridiculous level that I'm not willing to tolerate in a band name.

That's completely understandable and I won't argue that point, but I would say that in gauging your likeness of a band by it's name.. most of the time you are correct. But I promise, they've put out some good music. This isn't New Found Glory or anything here, this is a legit band with fantastic songs.

Rune - Check out 'Good to Know That if I Ever Need Attention All I Need to Do is Die' and 'Guernica' by them, never know. Oh.. and maybe "Okay I Believe You but My Tommy Gun Don't"

I'm really enjoying that new song. Definitely going to check this guys out more. I can't say that I care for his voice very much during the verses. These guys seem to be bordering emo a little too much for my liking though, but I won't deny that have talent.

I'm a pretty big fan of the new songs. Disappointed by the decision to exclude a bunch of the demo songs though. And the tour dates.

I think Archers live would be fantastic though.

I'd definitely check out their other albums Cuppycake (Your Favorite Weapon/Deja Entendu, and there's a lot of unreleased stuff around), they might be a bit more to your liking.

There are 6 songs so far that are available through various means from the new cd. I like all 6 of them so far, hope the rest of the CD is just as good.

This album needs to have come out yesterday. I haven't heard the 6 tracks as I don't want to spoil the album for myself, but, I can't wait for the release.

Laziest band ever. EVER. It's been an inexcusably long time since Deja.

They are pretty assholish, too.

That song's pretty good, loved the last album. Plan on seeing this guys in Dec. with Dashboard, granted I can get a ticket.

It's even harder to take someone seriously who can't get over a simple band name. /boggle

It shows a lot of arrogance for a band that is of good quality to choose a name that's going to cause an initial 'wtf' reactions. Usually when you see a band name that is just atrocious like 'Live' it indicates a lack of originality or just plain stupidity, or some sort of post-ironic-modern bullshit fetish, or they named it while they were on drugs ... etc

It requires a lot of reassurance that it's worth my time to go look them up and listen to some of their music, and they are in fact not another P.O.D.

Thanks Astaire. I appreciate you taking the time to point out what in particular I should check out, and will do so.

I love Brand New, but for some reason my p2p program won't download any of their new songs...

I am very pumped for this CD, but I concur with being lazy...Brand New and Senses Fail need to pump out more CDs

As biased as I am with this band I have to agree with the negative comments so far. They took far too long with this. I am not someone who feels that a band really owes me anything but their lack of communication was utterly stupid and probably lost them a lot of fans.

And yea, I hate to admit it, but I've heard many a story about them being assholes.

I love their music and will continue to do so though. And they put on a fantastic show if you ever get the chance to see them.

Enh, what's so wierd about thier name at all? Every band has a either a stupid or vague name, no point in excluding any of them based on that , you're missing out on a whole lot of good music that way.

And yeah, I re-read my post, and it sounds like I don't like them. I do.
