| alice in chains tour highly recommend this to anyone. they came through here last night, was an amazing show and the new singer emulated layne perfectly. 30mins of electric, a 30min acoustic set, then 30mins of electric to close out + encore. all in all one of the better concerts "feel" wise.

honestly the new guy is a skinny black dude who looks like he should be in a different band, but if you can get past that he sounds almost spot on to layne. they also have a tribute to layne during the show. his name is William Duvall and he was the singer for the band After The Fall. ![]()

| Saw them tonight in KC, hell of a show. One of the best live shows I've seen in the past few years. Can't recommend it enough. If you head your eyes closed It would be hard to tell that it wasn't Layne Staley up there singing. Phenomenal show. |

| Nope, would have been cool to see. I'm not a mindless nitwit that bashes Metallica because its the cool thing to do and their most recent music hasn't been as good. But I'm sure you think you have a good reason for calling him a jackass. |

I just don't know that I'd much care for Hetfield as a guest vocalist, cause I don't think the guy can sing all that hot. | |

| AIC making any new material or just singing all the old stuff? As for bashing metallica you can easily compare AIC GRIND album to Metallica's Saint Anger imo. Both are raw albums and both some of the best material either band ever put out. I didn't care for Load or Reload by metallica but Saint Anger kicked ass. How often is it that a band goes beyond their roots and pulls some shit like that? I liked Saint Anger almost as much as Master of Puppets, my personal metallica favorite. I'm kinda glad AIC started up again. If the singer is pretty damn close to Layne then I say go for it. When I listened to grind for a while I knew for a fact that layne was gonna die long before he needed to. That was one of the most down albums I've ever listened to.
