| Don't know much about Dragonforce, other than they're on Guitar Hero. Watched this video, and right after went out on the interwebs to know more about them. Seems a lot of people debate whether or not their guitar solos are sped up/fast forwarded to sound like their insanely fast solos. I'm not sure if they do or not, but looking at some videos and listening to a few more songs... I've noticed (as a guitarist for 13yrs) their solos aren't really anything special. speed picking/finger tapping and a metric shitton of hammer-ons and pulls-offs. They lack any diversity in their solos. Impressive non-the-less but no diversity.

Old Denver show recorded on a Sony Cybershot, took it at random just because I had some space to use up on the camera. Great show for $12 I think it was. Even the bass player can play nearly as well as Sam or Herman. If you notice he uses a pick for bass because he only started playing as a fill in member, but then became permanent. He came out and dueled Sam using Herman's guitar halfway through that particular show. | |

| they are an ok listen every once and a while. but as so many others have said, they are one long ass piece of cheesecake. i want some actual meat in my metal. yes yes i understand the homo erotic undertones to mentioning meat in my metal. |

| I've never seen them live, or live videos of them..yet, I plan on it tho. I hated playing that song at the credits of GH. Good thing that was part of the actual song list. and I agree with what was said above... I prefer more "muscle" in my metal. Palm Mute ftw!

| EQ1 Apologist | Dragonforce is in no way deserving of the acclaim they picked up from Ozzfest/Guitar Hero. As power metal goes, they absolutely suck. I couldn't wait to leave when I saw them play a year and a half ago. Someone needs to educate them that fast guitar playing is pointless when your music lacks any kind of melody or direction. The songwriting is some of the worst I've heard. It's just... boring... after two songs. |

| You weren't the only one. How hot was it in there? 120 fucking degrees, jesus. Incase you haven't realized, all of DF's songs are 100 tempo (32nds). So the people that say they have the "same feel" vibe, are right. They're all the same speed. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just weird I suppose. |
