Video Game Symphony...?

The biggest suck about this is that there are only 4 tour dates so far and all of them are over halfway across the US for me. I think it would be very cool to hear some of my favorite game music in a symphony.

Will do lewd things for a cd/torrent once it hits... ^_^

Could be interesting. There was a similar concert series, which I believe was US-only, which toured last year. If memory serves, it was called "Video Games in Concert" or something like that. It did remarkably well in terms of ticket sales. I'm not surprised to see another video game concert making the rounds these days.

the video games live tour was cancelled part of the way through for some reason that i don't remember, but they ended up having to refund a bunch of peopel who bought tickets. It looks like they're trying to start it back up again, and currently have 1 show listed. www.videogameslive.com

I know there was a final fantasy symphony deal last year, one of my room mates went and saw it. Think it was entirely done by Nobuo Uematsu (sp probably!) and it was called some shit like "Dear Friends" or something.

Man I'd pay top dollar to hear some of the shit off of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night played live.

Best soundtrack to any game, ever.

Yeah, it was called "Dear Friends" at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA. It was hosted by the voice of Tidus, and even featured a full choir when they did Sephiroth's theme. It also had tons of screens playing cutscenes from games 7-10.

It was fucking amazing.
