Coachella Festival 2006 - Lineup Discussion

So the official lineup for this year's Coachella festival was supposed to be announced today but for some reason or another, was not. Instead they posted a partial, but confirmed, set of bands:

Headliner for April 29th: Depeche Mode

Headliner for April 30th: Tool

Other bands on either days include:

It's in Palm Springs, California (bout 3 hours west of L.A.) in the desert.


If you want to be shocked, go check out the Coachella boards. There are about 100+ whatever you wanna call em - kids that are just bashing the fuck out of Tool.

Everyone of them that bashes Tool generally follows up with "No, I haven't heard any of their music..."


All the more space for me to be comfortably molested by Maynard and Crew, though.

haha yeah i read some of the boards...and that is funny. I had no idea everyone hated tool so much, but in all honesty they would be the only reason why i would go to this show.

Three hours west of LA is hardly a desert. (Insert a smiley here so you know I'm just joking.)

I'd give my left nut to get to see Tool at Coachella again. The crowd this year is going to get to see the debut of several of thier new songs, if not thier entire new album. Someone better smuggle in a DAT recorder.

Actually, it's about 3 hours east of Los Angeles. Three hours west of Los Angeles would place you somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, on your way to Hawaii.

I went to day 2 of last year and I'm more excited about 2006's day 2 now more than any other...

Tool (love them WAY more than NIN, especially the new NIN...)
