I used to read a lot of interviews with them and stuff, and if I recall correctly, they are really big on making sure everything they play they can play great live as well. They hadta kick a member in the past because he couldnt handle it. I think it was a bass guitarist.

I hate power metal, but when Through the fire and the flames came on tv it was a total "what the fuck?" moment of hilarity. It's a stupid song played stupidly fast. I think that song actually made me like them ![]()

I prefer Rhapsody over DragonForce but these guys def. come to a close second when it comes to this type of music. Kamelot and Stratovarius are a few more. Last edited by Prisonmsagro : 01-23-2006 at 09:58 AM.

Listening through their music it's quite a change when they go from the fast music to the slower ballads... Main problem I have with their music is the ringing in my head after listening for 20+ minutes... I can't seem to find a good "volume" for this music either, if I try to listen to everything it's clearly way too loud (and I like to listen to everything), so I find myself constantly trying to turn the music down so I'm not inadvertently going deaf. As some as of you can probably tell already, I don't listen to a lot of power metal.

+1 Internets | Is there any good power metal that isn't roleplaying D&D rejects? I like the speed of this band (Not grindcore that sounds like 15 yr olds smashing thier instruments) but these lyrics and the way he sings is just flaming.
