| In no particular order, I personally would go with Sufjan Stevens - Illinois Death Cab for Cutie - Plans Death from above 1979 - You're a woman, I'm a machine Of Montreal - Sunlandic Twins Bloc Party - Silent Alarm NIN - With Teeth Kanye West - Late Registration M83 - Before the dawn heals us Decemberists - Picaresque (Dangeresque?!) Maybe some others I've forgotten. But, I'm definetly gonna use Pitchfork's list as a guide for new stuff to download. |

| Ham, or anyone, what is this Antony & the Johnsons album like? They said the #1 single was off that album and the entire album was #5. Considering the albums that I actually have heard of in the top 50 are all very good albums (damn I forgot just how much I liked Illinoise, been listening to Sufjan again today cause of this), I'm anxious to check out some of the others. Pitchfork does give some wacky shit good reviews, and there summaries are pretty full of themselves, but generally they are a much better indicator of a good album then other similar sites, imo. |
