| Alternate software for an Ipod other than Itunes? Well it's sorta music related but... Anyone recommend a software other than Itunes to transfer songs from your PC to your Ipod. I got my hands on a Nano 4g Ipod for $60.00 and to be honest Itunes fucking sucks ass. I just don't like how you cannot have 2 seperate windows, drag and drop your albums or songs into your MP3 player. Someone mentioned to me I should take a look at Anapod. Any suggestions? |

| Ephpod is the only thing i've heard of. Don't have experience with it, though.

| I dont understand why everyone wants IPods. After doing a lot of research before buying my MP3 Player (Creative Zen Micro), I found that you cant use Napster's service with IPods since Apple wants to push around its customers by only allowing them to get their music on ITunes. With Napster I have a service thats $14 dollars a month and allows me to download as much music/comedy etc onto two different MP3 players for "free". I've downloaded/listened to probally about $1,000 dollars worth of music/comedy and have only paid about $42 so far. I'm glad I hate everything about Apple and took the time to do my research. |

I chose the Ipod because it has the best mix of functionality and sound quality that I found. The only problem I had with the Ipod was the headphones, but I bought a different pair of headphones for it when I first got it anyway. | |

| Yeah, didn't mean to be bashing anyone even though thats what it sounded like. I just get frustrated when I see buddies of mine who pay 99 cents per song and end up buying a lot. Just cheaper to use Napsters service if your a person that plans on using these pay services to download a lot. Plus I hate apple with a passion for only allowing their users to use ITunes. Long live the great southern trendkill. |

| I've used - Creative Zen - Creative MuVo - iRiver - The Samsung one (forget what its called?) - iPod / iPod Mini and a few cheap $80 dollar ones out of them, I think the iPod is one of the better if not the best out of the bunch. I ended up going with the MuVo for it's size-factor, drag/drop ability, and liked the simplicity of the navigation between folders (I tend to organize my music by file system, not playlists). My next MP3 player is going to be a Nano however, the 1G of the MuVo is more limiting then I thought it woudl be, I just figured "I just want something to keep a few DJ sets/cds around with me, and dont mind swapping in/out every few weeks", so decided to go with a 4G nano for my next player - I have over 100Gigs worth of music, but honestly - there is probably less then 10G that I listen to on a regular baises and want to have with me 'all the time'. The only real complaint I have with the iPods is the inability for drag-drop, I really dislike being forced to use 3rd party software to load my music onto my MP3 players, *shrug* But, the form-factor of the nano is what makes it the most appealing for me, I like it being so tiny I dont even realize its in my pocket - after years of lugging around clunky ass CD players, I want my music player to be small, easily fit in my pocket and hardly add any noticable 'bulk' (cell phone, wallet and keys is too much as is) I even find the mini is too big for what I want. |
