+1 Internets | Thrice - Vheissu Recently picked this up, and I'm really liking it. I think it's their best album by far personally. A lot of the lyrics (maybe all) are Christian inspired and I think it does an excellent job of conveying the spirituality without coming off as preachy/cheesey. Musically, this album has a lot more depth than their previous stuff, but without giving up the metal roots. Anyone else grabbed this yet? |

+1 Internets | It's okay. I like AITA better. I can't stress enough how I think the arrangements on AITA are really quite ingenous. I think they kinda got a little too full of themselves, though, and it shows in their music. The first time I listened to Vheissu, my reaction was along the lines of "what the hell? are they trying to start a religion based on themselves?" Haha, ok it's not really that bad but you get the point. I think Dustin writes pretty well, but one thing he is good at is not over-doing it. I don't think everything he writes is Christian at all, though. P.S. The video for Image is really, really, really good. |
