| What new bands are you looking forward to (2005) What bands (preferably new, but if you insist they can be old and previously unappreciated) do you think will either make an impact in 2005 or are you looking forward to hearing more of in the year to come. I think that a band called Bloc Party will fall into both categories next year. They're genre of music (post punk) is quite fashionable and cool at the moment, so their chances of commercial success are pretty good (though it may be held back by their politics possibly) and from what I've heard of their leaked album I really want to hear more. Basically it's dancey post punk, but with a singer that can actually sing. Check out "Like Eating Glass" which I can't stop listening to at the moment. Another band that I'm looking forward to hearing more of is a group called Redjetson, a shoegazing post rock band who sound stunning from the live stuff I've heard. They have a small chance of making an impact on the british alt rock scene due to the increasing popularity of the genre, and the quality of the music itself. |

| New stuff I want to see is after the Spineshank break up , Stanos moved to the band "temper" so it sounds promising. Also The lead vocals to zebrahead left and supposedly a new project so what ever he does it should be good. Hed pe's and System of a down releases are for 2005. Crossbreed might come back with another album since one of their members got thrown in jail with a pound of herb. Also Gouryella- which is the combined efforts of Ferry Corsten and Tiesto together are debating a come back and they are really damn good producers so should be interesting. Im just praying to god and every other high spiritual figure that this Punk phase leaves already. And bring back the Nu-metal phase. The whole radio is full of whiny punk talking about how much their life sucks.

| Any album coming out in a year with new ones from both NIN(my favorite group) and Tool(Lateralus was one of the best album's I've heard this decade) is going be a bit overlooked in the hype department. System of a Down's is one I'm also looking forward to also. Iit'd be nice if Error put out a full album, though I dunno if they're even still together. And Horse the Band is planning on putting together their 2nd full album this year, which could be good. Oh, and CKY. Finally I pray that the Tenacious D movie/new album comes out this year. |
