+1 Internets | Handsome Boy Modeling School - White People I had been hearing about this album for a while now, but decided to get it after Stroker listed it as one of his favorite albums of the year. The thing is really fucking interesting. Not at all what I was expecting. I was thinking it was going to be pure hardcore rap... but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a mixture of genres. To me, it had the feel of a mixtape: each song was different, with different artists, and all with a different feel. Favorite song for me: Rock and Roll (Could Never Hip Hop Like This) Part 2. Thoughts, feelings? |

| This album is very listenable for anyone. Very unique in that every song has a different, yet hip-hop feel to it. And for the heads, if you liked any of Dan's collaborations, this is his best by far IMO. Nathaniel Merriweather (Dan the Automator) and Chest Rockwell (Prince Paul) produce the beats and provide the connections to make one of the best genre blending hip-hop albums that has ever been released. My favorite tracks are: Are You Down With It: Mike Patton (Faith No More, Lovage, Mr. Bunge, etc) on Vocals with Jennifer Charles (Elysian Fields, Lovage) on backup vocals. Very reminiscent of Lovage, and I'm guessing Mike Patton's project with Dan the Automator "Peeping Tom" is going to sound something like this. Hopefully. The Worlds Gone Mad: Del the Funky Homosapein (Deltron 3030) with Jamaican reggae legend Barrington Levy on chorus, and Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand) on backup vocals and guitar. Very laidback track. First...and Then: It's Dres man! Black Sheep! Can't fuck with that! Was suprised he was on the album. A Day in the Life: RZA (Wu-Tang Clan) who was made fun of on an earlier track and A.G. (Showbiz and A.G.) wreck it with The Mars Volta jamming over a Dan beat. I just love this track. The only track I don't like that much is "The Hours". I don't like El-P as a rapper. Motherfucker should stick to making beats. And it's hard listening to Chino sing over a hip-hop beat with guitars. Fulluva socks, more then enough for each pairs uva shoes yes, that's how many...

| Check your PM Ham. edit: and I'm anti-instant messaging BHo. Only thing close to instant messaging that I use is mIRC.
