| Converge - You Fail Me I've not had a chance to properly listen to the album yet, but already I'm loving it more than Jane Doe. It seems to be a much less complex album than Jane Doe (though it may just be due to me not having listened enough to pick up the subtleties) but also quite a bit more varied (can't really throw the usual "omg it all sounds the same" arguement that tends to be thrown about.) Even stranger (and probably the first thing that grabbed me about the album) is the Godspeed You! Black Emperor-esque opening guitar on First Light where it plays the chord and then slides down (fans of GB!YE who've heard this album will know what I mean.) Now all I have to hope for is that Panopticon lives up to or betters Oceanic and I'll be happy with this years albums! |

| I think Jane Doe is a great album. But listening to You Fail Me just felt like more of an experience than any of their other albums. I think that you hit the nail on the head saying that it seems more varied than their others. Definently a great album!
