| Check out Atmosphere also, they're pretty good. He's white and Midwestern but luckily has nothing else similar w/ Eminem. I can't find it on any of his albums, but "God's Bathroom Floor" is an amazing song, definately worth a download. |

| I can't stand it at all. Seems every rap song out their revolves around clubs or how much money they are raking in. Heard this damn retarded song and think the lyrics if you call them that went like "Why you think they made the new 20's cause i got all the old one's". Back slap WRU

| jimmy, im the same way. that is why i make the distinction between hip hop and rap. rap sucks, hip hop doesnt. if you are curious, talk to me on AIM and ill hook you up with a few really good tracks to see if i can convert yet another person who previously thought they hated hip hop. |

Anyways, rap artists are generally people who haven't had money in their lives, so of course theyre gonna be happy to cut a nice check, and what better to sing about than what makes you happy? | |

| Check this out I'm kind of the music provider for a big group of my friends who like my music but don't know where to get it, so I set this up - my top 5 songs out of the stuff I am currently listening to. My webspace is limited and almost filled with pictures, so I can only do 5 and I figure if I do what I'm currently listening to, it wont stagnate and people can constantly check it out for new music. Enjoy. |

| Independant Hip-Hop's probably the healthiest musical scene right now. There are tons of great artists to discover : diversity, innovation, musical skills, song writing talent... Everything's there. Unfortunately, mainstream rap is the antithesis of all that. Edit : BHo, I see some Insight in there. Lately, I've been listening to Targetting Zones and I'm eagerly waiting for Blast Radius. Last edited by Fluffya : 08-16-2004 at 02:08 AM. |

| Check out the new 7L and Esoteric album "DC2 - Bars of Death". Really good tracks on there. "Rise of a Rebel" is the lick though. Here is a track.

| Targetting Zone is a LP Insight released only in Japan so far. But it's going to be worldwide released sometimes this year too, if I'm not mistaken. Here's the tracklisting in case you'd want it : http://db.bounce.com/cd/image.php?si...&twrsq=1223469 01. Insightroduction 02. The Usual Scene 03. An Intermission 04. Rhyme Master (feat DAGHA and NATURAL BLISS) 05. Good Morning (feat ELECTRIC) 06. Encouragement (feat RAFY ROSA) 07. The Message-Pandemonium Edit (feat KRS-ONE) 08. Inventors-Remix 09. Now Time To Cool Out 10. Got Skills Galore 11. Zone 12. Only One feat 17MCs (but really just One) - This track fuckin owns 13. No Turning Back 14. Evolution 15. Situations (feat ELECTRIC) Bonus Tracks 16. Under A Spell 17. Bother Me-SHIN-SKI Remix 18. Mental Mechanic 19. Good Morning-Smooth Current Remix If you like Insight, check out his european LP, The Maysun Project. There's great stuff on this record too. Edan's also really good, I think he's a better producer than rapper but I just love some of his songs (my sig's pretty explicit on this subject). Primitive Plus and the Fast Rap mixtape are two classics of my record collection.

+1 Internets | Kanye West - College Dropout = best rap/hip hop album of the year. You'd prolly like it. He's not a thug, so there isn't a lot of "I'll kill you etc., etc.. (maybe like 1 - 2 instances throughout the entire album). Plus, a bunch of the songs have good meanings. He's an amazing producer/lyricist... check it out. A pretty good underground hiphop group is Non Phixion. They're a tad more dark and violent... but not as much as other underground shit. Yeah... but I'd say one of the greatest rap albums ever is Blueprint (Jay Z if you didn't know). Shit's classic. |
