So what is "The Hit of the Summer"?

I try to avoid FM pop radio in my wife's car and my bronco only has AM.

Is it Flow On or what?

Ya float on lol

I just bought this bronco and it's a 74 and it still has the original AM radio Not sure what I'm going to do about a radio. I want to keep it as original as posible.

Anyway back to the thread.

Maybe 99 problems by Jay Z?

Judging from the reaction it gets, I'd say "Take Me Out" by Franz. Everyone seems to really get into it, and rightfully so, it's a great song.

reading some radio mags (im goin to school for it omg), it seems right now that the song with the most mass-appeal is 'The Reason' by Hoobastank. of course, that doesn't say anything about quality, or such, just that it's harmless enough that everyone can listen to it, and that it's not total shit.

franz fredinand is overhyped, modest mouse is still a little too out there to get massive appeal. jet is pretty harmless, and it popular. velvet revolver is doing pretty well, for some reason...

I am forced to listen to this song no less then 15 times in a 10 hour work day. It is the epitome of "pay to play".

I've actually been keeping a tally on a post-it note, 18 times one day, 16 next day, 15 one day, 20 the next day. It is insane...

They actually played it once before and after a commercial break.

As much as I hate harmless pop music, it serves a purpose. It earns the seething hatred of talented artists who produce innovative, gutsy music in response to the shit that infests our airwaves.

Hoobastank: my buddy pointed this band out to their A&R guy. He regrets it with all his soul.
