| Devildriver, Moonspell, Opeth Saw them on Friday the 13th at the Masquerade in Atlanta. Definitely one of the best concerts I've been to in a while. I missed the first half of Devildriver's set, but I don't think I missed that much. Moonspell played an absolutely amazing set. I might be biased because they're one of my favorite bands, but they played a lot of their older material, including a lot of songs I would never expect them to play. Their sound quality was exceptional, and this set was twice as long as the one they played when opening for Cradle. Notably, they didn't play Opium. I'm not a big Opeth fan, but I enjoyed their show. I was surprised at how intensely violent the crowd was getting to their material, which I find pretty mellow. At one point the crowd was so violent that this little asian girl required a medivac (crowd surf) to get out. The tour is only half over, check it out on Ticketmaster. Definitely one to see, and cheap as hell. |

+11 Internets | I hate the Masquerade with a passion, otherwise that sounds like it would have been fun. It's just that the venue sucks so much compared to what else is around town =/ I much prefer the Echo Lounge or somewhere smaller like that. Heylel |

| Just saw them the 17th in Chicago. Unfortunately Moonspell opened and I missed their entire set. Devil Driver was terrible, though the highlight of that set was the lead singer getting pissed off because a few people in the crowd were turning their backs to the stage. Opeth was amazing. It was by far the best performance I've ever seen. They played for about 90 minutes and had a great mix of songs from every album. Demon of the Fall for the encore was $. |

| DevilDriver is a piece of shit. Dez is a fucking Moron who only had half the talent he did while he was doing vocals for Coal Chamber. Besides that Rest of them sound decent. P.S fuck you DEZ

| Opeth \m/ I was really impressed with the setlist they're playing on this tour - Moor, Blackwater Park, April Ethereal to name some - stuff they haven't played live in the US before. One of the pictures I took at the show - place was dark even for a show and I was too far back for my flash to work well. |

| Looks like I'll be missing this one, and knowing now that they play Blackwater Park this time around makes it suck that much more. I'm curious, how did they handle the transitions between heavy and acoustic parts? When I talked to Mikael last time they were at the Masq for the BWP tour he told me they just couldn't do the guitar swaps without messing up the flow of the songs (Bleak was left off the setlist for the same reason he said). |

| What, transistions during the songs or in between songs? During the songs they'd just hit the clean channel, and in between Mikael would pull out his acoustic and play. There's plenty of amp modelling to make an electric sound like an acoustic, so they might use that. Bleak was played when I saw them headlining with Lacuna Coil for Deliverance - hell they even played Credence for that tour. Maybe they figured out an elegent way to handle it all last you talked to them. The only time the flow was messed up was when Mikael started singing/playing the end to The Moor when he was supposed to decrescendo with the rest of the band into the quiet midsection ![]() --Parv |
