Trigun and Kenshin are my favorites, because they just own. Inuyasha is pretty entertaining as well...but I wouldn't call it my favorite or anything. Hellsing, and Now and Then, here and There are awesome as well.

Well, I'm really into the art of the animation, so I tend to lean towards alot of the very well animated movies and ova's, but some of my favorites would be: In no particular order... Nausicaa, Mononoke, Spirted Away, and the rest of Miyazaki's work behind those three Ninja Scroll Akira Evangelion Now and Then, Here and There Cowboy Beebop Kenshin (OVA's far and above the series) Ghost in the Shell (almost purely to drool over the animation) Lain Escaflowne Haven't seen many of the newer animes, so can't comment on them yet.

I didn't like the drawing style in the Kenshin OVAs. Obviously the animation itself was far superior to the series (After all, you can spend more time on animation when you are doing 4 episodes instead of 96). I just didn't like the way they drew the characters as much. The OVAs were also completely devoid of ANY humor. And all of the characters seemed to act the same. They were all dead serious, never smiled...it was like everyone suffered from severe depression. I guess that's probably realistic during a war like that, but it was just kind of dull to see everyone mope around. Not that the OVA was bad, but it needed at least a LITTLE bit of humor, or at least a character to contrast the others. From what I've watched of Berserk so far, it seems pretty cool! Gonna finish it real soon ^_^

Cowboy Bebop (series and movie) Escaflowne (movie) Bubblegum Crisis (original 8 episodes, rest of it sucks) Vampire Hunter D (original, Bloodlust was awful) Ninja Scroll (all copies of the "sequel" should be burned) Akira (just because it was the first real anime I saw, in the DCC at RPI while I was still in college...it's not often you get to see anime on a big screen like that) I still love watching the Gatchaman episodes too, no matter how cheesy they are and how much better stuff has been done since then, just because of how much I liked Battle of the Planets/G-Force as a kid (ca. 1980).

| Ranma 1/2 ~ I love the comedy to it. First of the North Star ~ 1st anime I ever seen. Record of Lodoss Wars ~ Very good fantasy anime. Don't find too many like that. Cowboy Beepop ~ This may sound weird but the music is just awesome. Hellsing ~ Best vampire anime to date. Urotsukidoji ~ A classic. Guyver the 1st series ~ Corny dialogue but a must for any anime fan. Silent Mobius ~ A nice blend of magic, technology and demons. Yotoden : Wrath of the ninja ~ Good storyline with lots of action Wicked City ~ One of the 1st anime I saw back in 1992. Bastard ~ Dark Schneider is just too awesome. Other notables Riding Bean Fatal Fury Dragon Ball Z (especially the movies) Vampire Hunter D Akira

Ghost in the Shell, the movie and the TV series, what I've seen of it. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, liked a lot. My Neighbor Totoro. I haven't seen a ton of anime, but those are actually the only ones I really liked.

Well, my favorite recently? Naruto! I watched all 50 current episodes in a week, because I couldn't stop. And then read all 190 volumes of the manga. Now I wait for more. ![]() I haven't been this into any tv show, let alone anime, since dbz(say what you want about the dub now, but when I was 14 and had never seen anything like it, it was an epiphany.) It's another series based off a manga from Akira Toriyama. Rock Lee and Shino are the Shit. There's a bunch of places to get the episodes, bit torrent links for up to episode 44 are here: http://www.brainfart.org/naruto/anime/anime.htm
