| The theatre I was in had about 1/3 of the people walk out. I wanted to, but went with my brother in law, and this moron was in awe, so I could not leave. I CANNOT STATE HOW HORRID THIS MOVIE IS, NOT EVEN IN A "IT'S SO BAD IT'S FUNNY" SORT OF WAY, JUST A "OH MY LORD WHY AM I HERE" SORT OF WAY. Worst movie ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, v,ver ,ver v,edfec,v ,vervef. |

| What about things that make a bad movie standable? Is there any nudity? Are there any parts where the acting/story is so damn unbelievable that you just sit back and say, "yeah, alright. Wow me."? When there's a lot of gore, is it funny? I don't know, I haven't seen the movie. Try to think positively. Is it worth seeing for free?

| I guess this continues the longstanding tradition of movies based on games sucking. Resident Evil is still the only one to ever break the cycle. I hope they do a good job with Silent Hill, that game was pretty cool. |

| The first Mortal Kombat wasnt that bad either...it would have been so much better if it was R though. The part when Johnny Cage beats Scorpion and they threw in his "friendship" move had half the theatre in stitches. Was easy to tell there was alot of MK fans there ;P

+5 Internets | Silent Hill will be directed by Christophe Gans of "The Brotherwood of the Wolves" fame. He is also a notorious video game fan, so I guess it leaves room for hope (I am not a huge fan of the Brotherwood and his Crying Freeman was so-so though). Konami seems to take the project very seriously and will supervise the script. On top of that, for our greatest enjoyement, the music will be done by Akira Yamaoka who is the sound engineer / composer behind all the noisy athmospheres and moody balades of the Silent Hill serie.

| Yea Silent Hill has alot of potential. While alot of it is visual, if they dont cast the characters right it will lose a little of its punch. The movie needs to match or try to surpass the creepiness of the game. If I were to make a teaser trailer, it would be like *Have it start out like an old tourism video...circa 1960's maybe* *The voice over would be basically going over things from the "Visit Silent Hill" tourism packet you find in the game. Have the voice over say something along the lines of "you'll want to stay here forever", then the voice fades away into a soft radio static* *Once the static starts, the grainy old video fades into the present day. The buildings seem more chipped and worn. There's a heavy fog. Everything looks tired and empty. The static continues* *We see a man walking through the fog. He is looking...he hears the soft static. It gets slightly louder. He seems nervous. We see a POV shot...him looking down and seeing a radio. He looks slightly relieved and bends down to pick it up.* *We have another POV shot. He tries to adjust the radio. Nothing happens. The same soft static. He ignores it and begins to walk. Suddenly, the static gets louder. He looks at the radio. Its getting louder...there are more sounds. We get a close shot of him in the lower left half of the screen. We see him looking at the radio, puzzled as the sound gets louder. Then in the fog, behind him, we see a grotesque vaguely human creature emerge* *Screen quickly cuts to black. Title says "Visit Silent Hill, Summer 200X* If I saw a teaser like that I'd want to see that movie ASAP.

| Resident Evil tried so hard to be good and just blew a fucking nutsack. If they wanted house of the dead to work they needed at least 100+ zombies varying types just getting fucked up with guns. None of that survival horror bull shit. Blast some green ooze out the back of the zombies head and 6 others before he hits the ground and we got a movie. |

| HorrorFK | First off, I wouldn't dare go see a horror movie that had DMX - Party Up playing on the trailer. simple as that. I really felt sorry for the Resident Evil movie, I was dying for it to be good. The first 2 films were cancelled for reasons unkown to me, I do remember buying Resident Evil 2 and entering the "Win a part in the movie!" contest, lol. I feel sorry for who won that. Apocolypse will hopefully be good, I loved Nemesis, and since Jill Valentine and I saw a picture somewhere of nemesis, that it will be based off part 3. For silent hill, there is no way the movie can keep upbeat with the game. I hope they work their asses off to try though, I'll definately go see it. But the game is some scary shit, I don't like playing it alone... and i still havent played 3. Oh, and I also havent played resident evil zero yet, forgive me I'll get a gamecube soon.As for another scary game that was turned into a movie : don't laugh, but Tomb Raider. That game did scare me alot, and I still love it. The first movie was ok, I don't remember all of it. Just that big machina octopus or whatever. Haven't seen 2 yet, not sure why.

| oh man, silent hill 3 may be short but it's worth playing through multiple times for sure. there's one song from the soundtrack that i can't stop listening to (i want love - studio mix). i wonder if they'll use the 1/3 storyline, or a standalone plot like 2, or have it delve more into the history.. man, that'd so rule. of course, if you've seen jacob's ladder, you've already seen one of the most visually influential movies that silent hill is an homage to. most notable is the subway - it's the same color, stop name, and camera angles used in the game.. and the hospital is an incredibly obvious influence. i hope the movie takes a more suspense/thriller/horror approach than action/adventure. ha, i think we need a silent hill thread. i'm such a fanatic.
