| Best Dinero Films this just can't be a poll because his movies are just too varied to consider one better than certain others feel free to throw in any category you feel is necessary but for me it's Gangster Movie - Casino Comedy - Analyze This (not that) misc - Deer Hunter (i think it's his best on so many levels) |

| Yeah, De Niro has so many great movies. Just looking at his IMDB profile is shocking. I think the 3 best roles I have seen him play are 'Johnny Boy' in Mean Streets, the 'Taxi Driver' in Taxi Driver, and 'Noodles' in Once Upon a Time in America. Without discrediting of his other 20+ great roles in other movies.

| al pacino blows, did you see the recruit? that right there is reason enough never to speak of him again. he's a bad actor who looks really really old no matter what era of movies you watch him in. get back on topic tho, dinero. it's a tread about dinero not who you like more |

| Picking one movie from each decade -- Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, and Heat are my favorites of his. Yea, I know Goodfellas released in 90, close enough. I have to wonder how much of DeNiro's (and Pacino's for that matter) success is due to the directors they worked with, like Coppola and Scorsese. Of course he's a great actor, but how many people get the chance to work with someone like Scorsese that many times in the course of their career? |

| I agree Show Time was a really bad movie, but that wasn't De Niro's fault. Shame he took it though. But I like him in humorous movies too, not the usual gangster-bad-ass stuff. Analyze This/That has been good. Wasn't either of those two in that movie about the insane dad who's daughter dated a guy who was to visit them? :P or maybe im just totally off, haha, its early. | You may prefer De Niro over Pacino, heck I probably do, but calling him a bad actor, especially compared to most of the crap we see today, is quite stupid. As for their best roles, I'll just throw in *cough* The Godfather/Godfather II for both of them. Too hard to really choose just one for either of them though. |

| I liked seeing him in a role that wasnt his typical role .. Meet the parents was a good flick for him to expand his appeal. Of his other roles id say that my favorite role that he was in was Carlitos way... err.. thats pacino hehe :P. Seriously.. his best role was the one where he was in a mental hospital and he was given a experimental treatment and came back from his mental state but then slowly through the movie he slipped back into a comatose state. Anyone know the name of that movie? |

| By saying such exaggerated things about Pacino, you pretty much doomed your own thread ![]() I'm insanely partial to Brazil as Deniro's best film, but, you know, thats just me. And I also really liked Simone, but again, thats just me.
