I finished watching the series and am trying to download the magna, the only bt link so far I have found is from thehawks.net, But from what i've seen on various boards the person releasing them likes to use tiff files with very little compression.

The torrent size total for volumes 4-25 from this site is 1,411 megs which i think is a little exessive.

i'm having a hard time finding volumes 1, 2, and 3 of the manga online. i already have 4-26 so i didn't really want to re-download 1.5 gigs just for 3 volumes.

Manga's aren't movies as but "comics" the way in understand it. The series is over and no amount of black and white manga is going to make it better. Seeing gatsu lop off his arm with the blunt end of a broken sword and seeing the way judeau died just make me think "No more.."

I'll preface this by saying that I do enjoy a great deal of anime.

But Berserk? It's gay. And it's demon-tentacle-porn.

Now you might say, hey, it's not gay! It's an uber anime series.

Well when I say it's gay, I mean, it's matter-of-fact homosexual - unlike any other anime I've ever watched.

Griffith? Takes it in the ass from an old geezer for money.

Gatts & Griffith? Splashing each other playfully with water buckets in the shower? Uggh.

I watched this whole series through last summer (on the recommendation from a buddy who said it was awesome), but I could only handle it a couple episodes at a time and each time I went back to watch the next couple of episodes I thought to myself, "surely the gay stuff is over" and now it'll be cool. It didn't happen. Sorry, but this was some bad stuff - and mostly because the series leaves out about 80% of the actual story where Gatts goes around slaying demons and Griffith goes around wreaking demon-havoc. To get the whole backstory you have something on the order of a few thousand pages of manga to read before you understand all about the demon gods and all their bullshit.

Have you ever been scene some gross ass tentacle porn before? You know what I'm talking about. It's sick shit, and that's exactly what the last episode is. And that's also what the rest of the manga is about. Demon shit. It's just some gross shit for the most part. (And Griffith raping and impregnating Caska with a demon-child doesn't get him off the hook for being gay)

The story just completely degenerates when it goes gay and demon-pron. If they had kept the series to be a straight-up hard-knocking, medieval war anime, where Griffith conquers the kingdom but turns evil and Gatts has to kick his ass, and Caska is actually hot instead of looking like a guy for the whole series (she grows her hair out later but that's all in the manga), and if they had completely lopped out all of the demon shit, which if you're only watching the anime makes ZERO sense - then you'd have a great series.

In Summary:

Gatts growing up and becoming an uber killing machine, taking out 100+ men in a single fight: Good!

Watching the entire Band of the Hawk being eaten, tentacle raped, and demon pRoned for no apparent reason: BAD.
