| Movie Download Sites Hey Guys, I figured you guys would know the best place to download movies from for free and at least decent video/audio quality. Kazaa is way too crummy, wrong files, bad picture, loooooooooong d/l times. Im just wondering what site do you guys use if you download movies, and hopefully its easy to use or understand! Thanks in advance |

| errr.... how about you respect the people who made and acted in these movies by BUYING them. The least you can do is rent them! But other then that. If your gonna try and find movies for free on the 'net, chances are most websites will be difficult to use due to massive pop-ups. Many sites will probably claim they have movies and only link to other websites with massive pop-ups. I hate to tell ya but I have a feeling that Kazaa is your best choice. OR.....you could go to the rental place, and illegally copy the DVD with some sort of program. At least you only pay like $6 for a $30+ DVD (which I have no idea of what it may be called ). |

| I know exactly where the best place to download movies is, and it's not Kazaa. But you really should just buy the movies. The only movie i downloaded from this place is LOTR: Two Towers, because i know i'm going to buy the DVDs when they come out anyways. So don't be a cheapskate. |

| Explain that, Tristinn. Please...don't be brief either. Give a good explanation why people SHOULDN'T flip out about theft of anything...even digitized movies and music. I tell you why they should: 15% of all the money you spend goes to pay for stuff people steal. Another 20% goes toward fighting crime and paying for the results of crime. 35% goes to the actions of criminals. If you spent $20,000 last year including taxes, $7,000 of that went to pay for criminals. So fuck you if you steal shit. And fuck you if you don't hate people that steal shit. |

| Heh, the same people who whine about stealing, if they find a wallet in the bathroom, or on the floor.. Do you think they are gonna turn it in? Or give it back? Or if they do give it back, are they gonna give back the money that was in it? I DOUBT IT.

| IRC is the way to go for movie downloads. I warn you though. Just about any movie you are going to find on the net is going to have reduced quality. They do this to reduce the file size. Imagine downloading a full DVD quality movie. it would take forever even on a T1 (which is 1.5 up and down) as is they make the movies about 200 meg and break it up into 2 parts. There are better places, but it basically takes the pope's signature to get into them to use and they expect you to contribute in order to take. Try this link. it will help you with a place to go. http://www.tmdmoviez.com to those that have issues with this practice; I feel sorry for the person that would use this as their primary copy of a movie. If you are watching some of these movies in full sceen you get nothing but large pixels. Sure you can tell what is going on and you can hear it, but details like a person winking or something subtle like that might be important to the plot you will miss. i only use to decide if i want to waste money watching it at the theatre. I have a scale for movies that i watch.... Pay Full Price;Matinee only;wait for video; or never in this lifetime. V/R Trei |

| I gotta agree with Trei. I've seen several movies through TMD, and it was all stuff I'd have never paid for anyway. The quality is usually piss poor, so if the movie turns out much better than I expected, I usually stop it and go rent the dvd instead. Thanks to movie downloads, I'm spending more money on renting and buying dvds, I just now don't waste my money on bad movies. Maybe I'm the minority though. /shrug |

| Well Trei gave it away, but i'm sure it was obvious anyways. IRC is the way to go. I got DVD quality Two Towers (about 3.2 gigs) from IRC a few months ago, after i knew i wouldn't be going to the theatre to see it again. It took a while but it was definitely worth it . You'll have trouble finding a good channel to get it, usually the best way to go is find someone who isn't a bot. I recently deleted it because i had to reformat, and it's coming out soon anyways, so no i can't send it to you.And i agree with Dr. F with what he said. |

| I've got ~ 100 gigs of movies dl'ed from the net. All but maybe 3 are good quality, near dvd quality, usually screaners and such. Because of this, the stuff in my collection is usually old, or been out of the theaters for some time. That being said, I see movies in the theater about 3 times a month, more lately (matrix 3 times, xmen 3times, saw wrong turn, bruce almighty, italian job to give you a receint account), and have about 20 dvds and 30 vhs(older movies obviously) at home (just lost half my dvds, dvd player and tv in a breakup w/ my girlfriend, good thing ive got a dvd player in my main PC, 19inch monitor and 5.1 audio ). I never rent movies. I dl'ed a few songs, even burned one cd (my orig Pretty Hate Machine CD got too scratched to play anymore), but too lazy to switch cd's in the car and don't like the predictability of it, at home I listen to music stations on digital cable. Not everyone that dl's movies and songs doesn't support the industry.
