| Just saw The Italian Job (Note: I am well away of a topic about this movie,[here] but it seemed to have gotten off topic.) I saw this movie and thought it was incredible! Though for the most part it followed the standard robbery movie plot, I thought it was good. To me, this movie was fun to watch. But I guess not everyone agrees with me, I guess I've been missing out on these types of movies. In the post above, the author didn't seem too thrilled about it, so there must be some better movies out. Anyone care to enlighten a poor lost soul. ![]() |

| I liked The Italian Job, but I didn't think it was incredible. It was a good, entertaining movie, but there was something about the ending that left me a little disappointed. In the classic movies like this, like The Sting and Ocean's Eleven the viewer doesn't know the whole plan until it comes together at the climax of the movie. This was missing the "everything comes together" part, so maybe that is why I felt a little disappointed. See this thread for similar types of movies. Edit: oops, I meant Sting not String Last edited by Lhon : 06-09-2003 at 10:10 PM. |

Very well put Lhon. I enjoyed seeing the film, but wasn't overfuckingwhelmed by it, and that is probably why. Good action, acting wasn't bad either, but little suspense or twists in the plot/story (oh no! I drilled the glass! - that was a bad attempt to make up for it)

| I thought it was good as well, but not great. As previously stated, it lacked any real suspense or plot twists to be outstanding. I enjoyed Seth Green's character the most, "Call me the Nappster!" Also, Marky Mark pulled off his part pretty well (surprisingly) and I thought the ending was fun. It's worth seeing and I give it a B. *** Minor Spoiler *** Also, one thing that really bugged me was the fact none of the characters seemed to develop hypothermia/ die after getting dumped in freezing ice water for several minutes while being stranded in the middle of no where. What the fuck? A minor thing but it kind of nagged at me the whole rest of the movie.

+4 Internets | The fact that they had to say "We'll do it like the Italian Job" completely ruined the movie for me. I don't think they could have worded that part any worse. I mean come on. And the romance was kinda obvious from the start as well. Other than those two things I enjoyed the movie even though Ed Norton didn't want to be in it and did his best to try and get out of it. Despite that, he still put in a great performance. |

+17 Internets | Movie was a wanna-be oceans eleven. It thought it was much more clever than it was and not only does the preview show everything that happens, you already know everything that's about to occur. It's way to predictable.

| I got roped into seeing this in the theatre. It was mildly entertaining, worth renting or seeing on cable. Fairly straight forward action/"bank heist" type of flick. It felt like a really long commercial for those Mini cars, though. Edward Norton was decent, Charlize Theron looked good (no nudie shots), and don't worry, Marky Mark still can't act.
