| The Italian Job This movie was a wannabe Ocean's 11. Not to mention you could pretty much gather 95% of the plot and how it ends up from the advertisements on TV. Charlize Theron is hot though! And Ed Norton is still an awesome actor. Thoughts? |

| Every movie Edward Norton has ever been in he has played the same role...Edward Norton. He isn't a good actor but since the one persona he does do well is a good one he is successful. ...I'd like to see him in a role where he isn't a sleazy/weasely white guy. Ed Norton as Othello would be hysterical.

Obviously heīs still white, but you donīt want to see Denzel Washington playing Hamlet either do you? You still remember how many people got pissed here when Michael Clarke Duncan got casted as Kingpin? A white guy playing a famous black role would likely be worse. Stinks way to much of those early 50s historical & adventure flicks were white people would get to be Indians, Arabs, Egypts, Aborigines or indigenous people from the deep jungle with a bit of charcoal in their face ![]() | |

As for Keeping the Faith...to my understanding it was a "quirky" romantic comedy which normally I would refuse to touch with a ten foot pole...I may just pick it up to see if Norton can deviate from his norm. I'm guessing he will still come off and pained and bitter though. I'm not a "Norton-hater", I do have a friend who is obsessed with him though...I guess being forced to watch the same person in 5 different movies over the course of one night could result in picking up similar aspects in acting style across their career *shrug* ....regardless though, he is by no means as good as De Niro/Pacino or hell, even Depp.

| I thought he did an incredible fucking job in The Score, and I even kinda felt bad for that old guy. I also thought Death to Smoochy was pretty damn funny too. Edit: had to check his filmography Keeping the Faith, the movie he did with Ben Stiller was pretty damn funny. Jenna Elfman is hot. So I guess he can do decent comedy but I'm sure he likes the roles he plays. I'm sure if you all we're rich and could choose which roles you liked best you wouldn't always pick the ones you could BE in terms of acting.

| Hm Don't really consider him that much of a bad actor in The Red Dragon either. Never saw Death to Smoochie (sp?) yet, I placed the DVD covers on the shelters the other day and saw it and thought "wtf" since I never heard of it. It kinda hurt me because it looked so incredible retarded... But well, it's a different kind of movie than we usually see Ed in ![]() |
