| Enough with the Matrix threads Guys, Agent Smith cloned himself 100 times over; that doesn't mean Matrix review threads need to do the same. If you've got an entirely different topic about Matrix Reloaded that needs to be discussed, fine. Create your own thread to do so. But if you're just going to post a review, or elaborate on any of the topics already being discussed on an existing Matrix Reloaded thread, then please confine your discussion to that thread. Why bother with 1200 threads on any given subject when one will suffice?

| I'm trusting you guys to use your better judgment on things like this. But here are some thoughts: If a thread tackles a specific topic, why create a new one that's just going to cover the same ground? Why have two review threads for the same movie, when people would much rather confine their discussion to one? Hopping between two different discussions of the same topic can get annoying for everyone involved. If you have something new and different to discuss about The Matrix Reloaded, then by all means, create a new thread. But as is, the movie doesn't need another review thread, or another thread devoted to figuring out the ending. Each new thread about a given movie should have a unique focus. |

+10 Internets | Note that a problem is that often long topics slide from their original broad thema to a discussion about a detail or about something different (I am thinking at one of these topic that ended in biology 101 for example).

| That's a good point, but from what I've seen, the topics thusfar have remained more or less on topic. Even the 135-post review thread ("Why The Matrix Reloaded is not a good film...") has remained just that -- a review thread -- throughout its length, despite a few efforts here and there to derail it. And even if a thread does go off track, it's not as if you guys can't bring it back on topic by posting as such. Like I said, I'm leaving this to your better judgment. I'm not going to enforce this "rule" unless things really start to get out of hand. If multiple threads on the same topic become flagrant and annoying, then yes, I might merge some threads. But if there is a valid reason for creating a new thread, I'll probably leave it alone. The only reason I posted this warning in the first place was because I saw three different Matrix review threads pop up this weekend. I looked carefully through each one, and saw no legitimate reason why any of them should have been a new thread. They all said the exact same thing. |

| /agree unless it's for a specific aspect of a movie (How does bullet time work for instance) there is never need for more than 2 threads (a spoiler free thread and an anything related to the movis is ok thread)
