+20 Internets | rofl. I'm glad he died. It was so obvious he wasn't an actor, even if i didn't know who he was before I would've been thinking "man that black dude with the sideburns is the worst actor I've ever seen" instead I had the same thought with roy jones jr in place of the "that black dude with the sideburns". |

| Yeah, but really, WHY was he in this movie? Are the Wajokowskiskigitgknhi guys big boxing fans? How did Roy end up with this script? Why are people sending Roy Jones Jr. scripts? I could understand him making his debut in Universal Soldier 4, starring Goldberg and the Rock or something, but Matrix? wtf. |

| Question regard Matrix 1 I have been wondering for a while about the first one. When Cypher is having dinner with Agent Smith, talking about wanting back and not remembering anything - he's in The Matrix, no? I mean, he's got to be plugged and all. But how could he do that on his own, and if he had (assumably) Tank to be his operator, Tank would know what's going on, no? Peace |

| Cypher was killed in the first one, when Tank (or Doser, whichever it was) got back up and shot him the with superlaserbeamfromthefuture. Anyways, I get that they want to use little used actors, but when did Roy Jones Jr become a little used actor? Hes boxer god dammit, not an actor! Is Oscar De La Hoya gonna be in the next Matrix? Mike Tyson as the renegade, loose cannon commander of one of the ships? |

in other words, if someone wanted to go in alone without an operator they would be taking a huge risk; but in cyphers case, he didnt care, he was there to talk to the agents. so getting caught wasnt an issue for him and they obviously werent going to block his hardline or try to trap him if he was willing to work with them. | |

| I'm sure if they can program a way to link the human mind into a virtual world, so much so that the human mind experiences all 6 sense whilst inside of said virtual reality and can not sense the body whatsoever, that they could also program a way to make a phone ring at a certain place and time to provide an easy exit. If nothing else, one could easily argue that since Cypher was often left to moniter the Matrix solo while everyone else slept that he could just as easily gone in an hour before the next shift, gone to his meeting and expected the next person on shift to see him inside and pull him out. I really don't think that would be too rare of a thing to where it would make anyone suspicious either, considering that in the begining of the movie Trinity is inside the Matrix randomly when she's not supposed to be. Everyone, seemingly, did it from time to time. Why should Cypher be any different (in their eyes)?

+1 Internets | ? Why couldn't he have set an exit up ahead of time, and made the call? Then he could have loaded himself in and gone to his meeting. When the meeting was over, just go to your exit and answer the phone that had been ringing for an hour. It's one theory anyway. |

| Tangent - Cypher Personally, I just find the following amusing about Cypher's deal with the agents: His "Matrix name" is Mr. Regan. He doesn't want to remember a thing. He wants to be someone important -- like an actor. He says that ignorance is bliss. Sorry, that tangent just pops up in my mind every now and then.
