Reloaded and Revolution is one movie cut in half. No shit there will be loose ends and what not. I bet that ending made you want to see revolutions. From a business point of view what they did was fucking genius, but it pissed some people off.

Also it was hyped up way to much. I didnt get into it like i did the first one. The fighting was the best ive ever seen. And im seeing it again today.

Khylen- You're misunderstanding the context of my statement. Of course it is a gateway to #3, however it should be able to stand alone as it's own movie, which it can't. BTW, as for the stupidity comment, I thought this was an opinion thread, not Khylen's board'o fact. This movie lacked too many elements to be considered a great movie on it's own. Was it a great collection of scenes in a trilogy, yes... fantastic.

It shouldn't be able to stand on its own. Can TTT stand on its own? No. Can ROTK stand on its own? No. You don't plan a trilogy with movies that can in themselves be independent.

My opinion is that you're opinion is retarded.

Thats because its designed to be a trilogy, not a stand alone movie. Think about it this way.. If you cut 30 minutes out of an hour and a half movie, will it stand alone? Of course not.

The Matrix trilogy is simply one big movie cut into 3. All together they will stand alone, but independtly they will not.
--------
The movie was good, not better then the first, but it was a good sequel. Of course there will be loose ends, it is expected that the third movie will tie those ends up.

My beef with the movie was the hype. I think people would like the movie a lot more if the advertising team at WB released maybe a trailor maybe a month before the release, and then downplayed the release somewhat.

What do you really expect from the second part of a trilogy? Much glorified The Empire Strikes Back, Neo style? Empire certainly had its flaws, yet many believe it to be the best of the series.

I'm certainly not saying Reloaded is the best the Wachowskis have to offer, but it doesn't deserve the criticism it's getting. It's the second of a three part series - like someone said, you can compare it to TTT. You can't introduce a whole slew of new concepts (btw, if you see it, I'd consider what Neo does at the end a NEW ABILITY) halfway into the saga. Character development was lacking but, again, a lot of it is probably being saved for Revolutions. Which is a poor excuse, certainly, but hey, what can ya do?

It's a spectacular movie for special effects, fight scenes, and a nice treat to hold us over until Revolutions. As far as the whole "why doesn't Neo just zap everyone to death cause's he's teh l33t" argument... 1) they're 'upgraded' agents, 2) agent smith is the archenemy guy imbued with some of Neo's powers (sort of). You can't just zap that sort of guy to death. Especially when he has an assload of copies of himself. Plus, using it on the others might replicate the effect.

As far as why Morpheus and Trinity can stand up against agents now, couldn't really tell you, although it would be a shit movie if they just ran away all the time while Neo fought. Maybe Neo's been training them between the two movies? Falls under the whole character development problem again, unfortunately.
It did what I think they intended it to do - made lots of oohs and ahhs and made everyone even more anxious for Revolutions.
