So I saw Grave of the Fireflies -- question

Thanks to the saddest movie ever thread my wife and I decided to watch Grave of the Fireflies. I can't say I enjoyed it in the traditional movie sense or that I would ever watch it again, but thank you to those that recommended it.

My question is are there any cels available for that film? Some of the images were quite beautiful and I would love to buy a cel and frame it for display. A quick check of ebay revealed multiple Disney cels (bleh) and a few anime cels but no Grave of the Fireflies cels. Anyone have a site or know where one could be purchased?

I could chop out an uncompressed picture from my copy of it on DVD if that would do it. You can print it out on quality paper with a quality printer for framing if all you're interested in is the picture itself.

I know what you mean about rewatching it. I've tried to watch it objectively, but I just can't do it. The ending just pulls too many heart strings. It takes all my will power not to start bawling like a kid

Real cels from Graveyard are probably going to be next to impossible to find given the age of the film. At least outside Japan.

Your best bet: Sometimes on Ebay I see people who will do a commission where they take a screen cap and convert it into a knock-off cel and it looks like the real thing. That might be a possibility...
