| O NOHS!! ITZ THE ATTACK OF THE GREEN CG MAN! ugh - cant stand the looks of it - when he's the hulk - it looks way too obvious thats its rendered - it might be improved by the time it comes out, but shadows arnt drawn properly on him, making him stand out on the backdrop - kind like putting a cut out picture of yourself on the computer and placing it on some landscape =/

| If you can get past the graphics wont be that of Golem, and understandably by the $$$ difference, I think this will be a great movie. Hulk will do what Hulk fans expect. Get really pissed and wreck shit.

| Ok if you are bitching about the shadows looking bad you are just bitching for the sake of bitching. Seriously, pretty much all of the shots of the Hulkster were him kicking the shit out of things. Who the fuck spends their time looking for shadows when the Hulkster is hurling tanks and shit? Please. |

| While I'm not too terribly fond of the SIZE, shape, or general realism of what I've seen so far, I am somewhat encouraged by a few things: First off, there's a bit of a new origin added to the character, even if it does feature the ever-vagrant-looking Nick Nolte. Second, the story is about what The Hulk story is about - Bruce, and the inner conflict over his humanity. Third, they took "the famous line" and changed it a little. When I go to comic movies, I'm not looking for exact history, I'm looking for bringing something new to the story that I didn't get before. Fourth, Jennifer Connelly. Even if this movie sucks, I'm buying the DVD to swoon over her. Yummmmmmmmmm.... Fifth, Ang Lee. I like his movies, his way of telling stories appeals to me personally, so this may not apply to you. Detractors: Hulk-dogs? Nick Nolte looking drunk? Since when was Hulkie 20 feet tall? Anyone? I'm willing to go 8, 10 at a stretch, but man I think they push it just a bit, at least from the trailers. |

+5 Internets | The trailer looks a lot different in the theatre for some reason. I thought the hulk looked bad on the internet trailer too. Then I saw the Hulk trailer before X2 last night and it looked great. |

Actually, I think he looks great. Its his movements that look so unnatural. You dont need a 12' foot green monster of an actor to model natural movements after. When a torso pivots, it doesnt matter how big or small you are, there is a natural way a body moves and a skilled CG animist can make that happen. Its actually easier that hes a humanoid and not some strange formed being that would make the process more challenging. The movie may be good in the long run, but I guess they didnt have the budget to make HUlk look good and animate him well. But contrary to popular opinion, the real life actor for gollum is not a tiny emacipated man who walks with a hunch .....so to say that HUlk was not animated well becuase they couldnt get an actor that size is a little stupid. | |
