| Street Fighter 2 http://www.kungfucinema.com/news/2003-04-15-01.htm ... I tried to sit here for 10 minutes to think up some witty paragraph on how the first movie was craptacular, and who the rocket scientist was that had the idea to fund this sequel... ...but I cried just thinking to hard about how much this movie will suck.  Any bets on how fast it goes from the theaters to the USA Network Saturday Night Movie Special?

 | Hm Well, in general, I do not mind Jean Claude. He's a fine actor and his martial art abilities are great. Just one major obstacle about him... his voice and accent. It destroys a heap of opportunities. In comparison to someone, say Wesley Snipes who can speak without sounding ridiculous, e.g. Demolition Man/Blade etc. and still perform nice martial arts  I hope I made my point, and yes, Street Fighter was rather disappointing... But then again, I sorta got reminded of X-men 1. It was a bit dull because you expected a lot about each individual (Ken, Ryu etc.), while the movie focused on Guile primarily. |

+14 Internets | Well, if they do make a Street Fighter movie... A) Use the alpha storylines plzthx B) Make the characters actually like the characters. E. Honda was not a fukin cameraman from Hawaii. C) No ghey scenes or lines like "I'm going to get in this stealth boat, go up that river, and kick bison's ass". Hell, the only line in that movie that made me chuckle was the "I'm outta here, they dont pay me enough for this" "You get paid??" D) Street Fighter's main character is Ryu. Plz remember this. If you dont think he's got enough character depth (which, frankly in non-alpha sf, he doesnt), then do the whole Akuma and evil ryu thing. E) Be consistant. Either have energy attacks or none. The original SF was all regular attacks then Ryu whips out his fist-taser.
