+1 Internets | What is Armageddon doing on that list of great films? Armageddon is the anti-thesis of great films.

| 5.) The Matrix - this film just drew me right in, i love the setting of this film. Keannu finally found a film he can act well in. Also, the story had many twists and turns, and really made you think. 4.) American History X - This movie really got to me. I am one of the people that had absolutely no idea how the film would end, and it was a shocker to say the least. The whole subject matter of this film is very interesting, and presented very unique characters. It made me think hard about some things in the world. 3.) Braveheart - I love epics, i love war movies, and i'm a sucker for medieval type settings, and this had it all. Not to mention what an amazing story it is. Love this movie. 1.) Lord of the Rings: FotR + TTT (tie) - I got the books when i was 11, and read them almost once a year. These films are the epics to end all epics. Just seeing the world that i put myself in every year when i read the books on the big screen was just amazing, to say the least. The movies are, in my opinion, extremely well done. Again, my love of 'fantasy, medieval-type settings' comes through in these films. "Wow", is about the best way to sum up these movies. |

| arrrgg...to choose the favorites In no particular order and chosen for a variety of reasons: Bladerunner (original theatrical version) The Matrix The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Chinatown Return of the Jedi So many I could put on that list and I've leaning towards fantasy/sci-fi...but alas you have to make a choice somewhere. |
