Your opinion requested.

Hi all. I just recently learned how to burn DVDr's, and I am assembling a collection. I usually only read the EQ related boards when I come here, so forgive me if this topic has been beaten to death. I would like to know what your favorite movies are with two caveats. The first: replayability. Some movies lose their flare after you know the ending while others can be watched countless times. The second caveat: no extras. These will be movies without all of the special features. So, knowing that, what would make up your DVD collection? You can break it down by genre or however you like. Here is a sample of the first few I have burned.

Requiem
Fear and Loathing
Dumb and Dumber
Office Space
Fight Club
CKY 1,2,3
Clockwork Orange
Swingers
Memento

All suggestions are welcome.

Wow burning movies to build a collection? I hate to be one of those people, but you got to be a cheap person to do that. I mean DVD's are like $15 on average here where I am. Games I can understand, hard to get a huge selection of games to rent, and no place to rent computer games. And at $50 a pop....

But anyhoo, some good movies you can watch a lot with not too many extras:

Predator
Aliens (has extras, but just take them out before burn if you can)
Any Jackie Chan movie that wasn't made in America
Die Hard trilogy
True Romance

BTW, can DVD burners do RSDL?

All of Kevin Smith movies

All Guy Ritchie movies, or rather both Guy Ritchie movies (Snatch, Lock Stock)

All of Quentin Tarrentino movies save From Dusk Till Dawn

Practically all of Martin Scorcese movies

Both Darren Aronofsky movies; if you have Requiem already, get Pi

Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Big Lebowski, Very Bad Things, Amelie, Evil Dead...

50 DVDrs for 50 dollars > 3 DVDs for 50 dollars

I still buy DVDs. I tend to buy the ones that have nice extras. Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back has the best extra features I have ever seen. 10-15 minutes of John Stewart improving about the C.L.I.T. and Jud Nelson improvising the "Station House" bit is worth 20 dollars alone.
