A film from Norway .. English subtitles.. Saw this at the local video rental place and it's about two 40ish year old guys who have been cooped up in a psych ward together for quite a while and pretty much lost all reasoning to function in the real world. One guy is a virgin and totally sex obsessed, and the other is just a total walking panic attack .. So the gov rents them out an Apt to live in to see if they can leave the nest and fend on their own in some sort of rehabilitation program and from there it gets amusing, to happy, to sad, etc ... Going to the store is chore for one of them.. The other just wants to get laid but only showers once every two weeks.. In the end, it left a huge grin on my face.. Definately a feel good movie if there ever was one, and it's one I will be buying on DVD and ranking in my top 10 favorites of all time for some reason.. I just really liked the characters a lot I guess.

If you cant stand reading subtitles, dont bother.

Since i live in Norway i must say something

Elling is a warm movie about 2 outsiders and been seen by maybe half of the norwegian people.
I recomend it but must say i like movies with a bit more speed.
They are now talking of a new movie with the same actors but i am allways sceptic about reruns.

Norway rocks. I'm Norwegian by descent, though my family's been in the States for quite a few generations now.

Someday, though, I'm going to return to visit.
