| Escape from LA Ok just ran this by my roomate... ever notice how escape from LA has striking similarties to Metal Gear Solid 2 :sons of liberty/substance. For example.... Snake (Both of the main characters in the "films") Pliskin ( Snake from LA's last name) and Metal Gears Snake's Code name from the first part of the plant episode. The whole EMP thing over the city to wipe out the power. Rescuing some form of the president (his daughter,la) (him ,mgs) Any other similarities, i just pulled those off the top of my head. Plasma Snake |

+16 Internets | Hideo Kojima's games are often packed with movie references. You can add The Rock for MGS too (Snake cutting his hair like Sean Conery and the music that is very similar) or Terminator for MGS 2 (The visual of the arrival on the tanker). In Policenaughts it was Lethal Weapon that was quoted over and over. Btw since snake is called that way since the first Metal Gear game on NES (the original version might even be on MSX btw) the exact inspiration for the name is Escape from New York not from LA ![]()

| In MGS2 Snake played a guy named "pliskin" so he's Snake Pliskin thats also the name of Kurt Russels character in Escape from New York/LA. I figured you didn't remember something like that from such a bad movie and just assumed he shared the name Snake with Snake from MGS |

| Never even saw the movie until my roomate brung it up actually. Although the snake from the movies name is spelled Plisskin. MGS2 is Pliskin with one "s". So yea I did know about it and not just snake. |
