| Sounds awsome. In the end, the whole exercise is about selling (more) overpriced, unpainted unassambled plastic solders to 12-year olds. That'll make or break it for the IP (and Hollywoods not even involved). So good luck with that ![]()

| Except 40k universe already includes earth (Terra). But I get the statement you're trying to make. I was thinking, dude lives on feudal world recruited from by Astartes, corrupt imperial guard detachment comes and fucks shit up, dude goes apeshit and kills 40 guardsmen with a cow jawbone or something crazy like that, gets indoctrinated and becomes Space Marine. Montage of insane training regime, cutaways of the dude as a neophyte fucking up some rebels or some shit, finally end up with them having to quell a rebellion or something. Somehow, shit goes awry and it turns out the leader of the old corrupt regime was an officer and actually made it out, and has been taken back into the imperial fold and is now an inquisitor. Some other shit goes awry, Chapter gets excommunicated, giant fucking battle with IG stationed on a hive world. Complete with all the blood and gore you like. Battle comes to a close with Astartes taking heavy losses but turning the tide through some crazy awesomeness that will undoubtedly involve deepstriking terminators. Turns out the corrupt guardsmen officer turned inquisitor was aligned with chaos all along and the massive bloodshed was caused to summon a bloodthirster that lay dormant in the depths of the hive planet. Of course, dude has to face off with it with some melee badassery, and eventually gibs it gloriously. Movie ends with battered marines piling back into extraction ships. Excommunicated, they head straight into a warp storm to earn redemption. |

![]() Also, chapters can and will break with the Imperium. The Soul Drinkers broke off from the tyranny and corruption they saw, almost fell to chaos but broke free of that too.

| I find it interesting that Abnett wrote it instead of McNeill (guy who does the UM novels), that said I have absolutely no complaints about this. If he says its true to the lore, than by god we may have a film here gentlemen. |
