Didn't enjoy this movie. Wasn't scared, thought it was cheesy and a major let down. Blair Witch 2.0. =(

I liked it. My girlfriend couldn't sleep all night and was sincerely angry with me for taking her. She'll get over it.

I liked it as well. I found it to be legitimately creepy. I go in to a movie like this looking for just that and definitely in the packed theatre I thought this one hit it on the head for being scary.

This movie was not scary at all, I was laughing at the parts everyone was screaming at.

Then I went home, and slept with the lights on.

Shit.

I don't think people seem to realize laughing is a sign of nervousness. Many people laugh because they're nervous/tense, laughing in fact probably arose as a negation of alarm signal.

Going to maybe see this on Tuesday, after Where the Wild Things are.

Saw this last night in a packed theatre. I'm not the type to get scared or scream at a movie, but I thought this was really good and it definitely scared the shit out of all my friends. In my group we only had a couple girlfriends who came along and both cried during the movie. One of them crying hysterically and left 30 minutes before it ended and stood out in the cold because she was so pissed at her bf for bringing her. I'm really glad my gf was out of town and I will NEVER watch this with her because she's already afraid of demons and the like.

I think the movie was very well done as far as suspense goes. The characters were very believable and for the most part acted like they were not acting.

Also need to disagree with people saying its just like Blair Witch. The camera was not shakey. Hell, over half the movie the camera is either sitting on a desk or on a tripod and the camera seems to be much higher quality and have some stability control.

I went into this movie without watching any of the trailers, scenes, or marketing and had zero expectations of it.

I haven't been genuinely scared or creeped out by a movie in a long time and this definitely did a remarkable job of that.

I must echo the praises being tossed around for this movie as I saw it last night with several friends in a packed theater and loved it.

Just as I figured it was...a hyped up, not at all scary or creepy just a cheesy piece of shit.
Glad I didn't pay for this, would have demanded my money back.

Or he really, really likes building those negs.

I didn't think the movie really affected me after the fact until I took a long walk through our empty office building tonight. Apparently our elevator sounds exactly like the rumblings from the movie.

I always find it amusing how so many can't handle an opinion.

I thought The Blair Witch Project was better and this was clearly a rip off of that. I thought it was just okay. The suspense was basically the whole movie and I found it had more funny moments than scary moments. What was funny was the girl being a typical girl and bitching out the guy all the time. The paranormal scenes were good but they were a bit minimal and I found the ending to be too sudden...I needed more scary stuff at the end. But there were definitely some good scenes, just a bit too short.

I did have a question:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
If the ouiji board caught on fire and the girl said her house burned down wouldn't you be worried that the house would burn down again when you went to sleep? The guy wasn't worried at all. Even for a non believer he should have started to get worried. I would have tried to check my GF into a hospital or instution or something where they could watch her when she slept or something.

I would have probably liked this movie if I didn't end up almost getting in a fight with 3 dudes for not shutting the fuck up the whole fucking time.

If you are one of those people that talk/laugh(at all the wrong times)/phone during movies I hope you get rickets.
