Ghost Hunters can be pretty interesting sometimes due to the locations. History Channel has a new one called Ghost Lab which, while not quite as good as Ghost Hunters, incorporates some cool tech.

it doesn't matter what you or the majority of people 'believe in'. a scary movie is about the reality when you suspend your belief. that's what makes them scary. yes, you're sitting in a theater smooching your gf so obviously you're not camping in the woods getting chased by a witch. so yes, in objective reality, you shouldn't be scared because you don't exist in the forest naked and alone. in that view, it's not scary at all of course. not suspending your belief allows you to mock or laugh at any movie in the history of movies, nothing is scary, funny, dramatic, etc if you don't do this.

if you do suspend your belief, then blair witch is a scary movie. and moreover, it's scary because it's probably one of the few scary movies where suspension of belief is really fucking easy compared to say, jason vs manhattan. this is what makes it a good, scary movie. but of course and again, its not scary unless you suspend your belief and watch it, like any movie.

Freaked the shit out of the girl I took and she spent the majority of the movie climbing into my lap, so it was worth it.

It's about 40 minutes of boredom for the 5 minutes that they actually show the findings. I enjoyed some of the earlier episodes, but now I just can't take it seriously. I just feel they and Sci-Fi have too much invested to NOT find anything, so I can't put it passed either group to create interesting findings. I also don't think they try and disprove shit as much as they claim.

My favorite all time part on Ghost Hunters:

Dude puts a rubber ball at the top of some 200 year old raggedy stairs in some underground. He places the ball at the very end of the top stair, then they go around and do other shit, come back to the stairs and are utterly amazed that the ball is on the bottom. The dude was so excited at the evidence.

I don't believe you're remembering that correctly.

If you havent seen it yet I would probably wait for DVD. There is way too much hype and build up for the movie which will most likely leave you disappointed. The movie was enjoyable and creepy in my eyes, but I saw it within the first two weeks that it was out.

I enjoyed it. *shrug* I thought they did really well for a low-budget, no known cast horror flick.

Great suspenseful movie. If you liked Blair Witch, you'll like this. Theatre wasn't packed (since I'm catching the movie a little late), but had about 20+ people and they were all freaked out. Two chicks that were sitting in my row kept jumping and screaming and eventually asked to come sit by us lol.

anyone know how big of a difference the theater ending is compared to the ending of the version online? I haven't seen it yet, but is like the online version have a shitty ending or something?

Supposedly there was 3 different alternate endings:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
-The first one you hear her scream down stairs, Micah runs down, gets killed...she comes back up with a knife in her hand and stands there until the next day when neighbors come over and spot her and call the police...the police arrive see her standing there with the knife, and the door slams startling him and he shoots her.

-Another one is she kills him, comes up the stairs and slits her own throat.

-The third one was the most violent, supposedly she takes Micah's camera and beats him in the head to death with it, all the while we get a close up of the action.

These are just what I've heard....anyone who knows more can confirm or deny if they like.

I like how in the 30 second trailer they show the lady screaming in the movie theater with a canned type of wilhelm scream.
