I also enjoyed Final Fantasy and I do think a lot of people didn't like it simply because it was called Final Fantasy and didn't represent the game. I do think they should have simply called it "The Spirits Within" and put a comment of "by the makers of Final Fantasy". I think it would have faired a lot better then. Unfortunately because of the weak ass box office it got Squaresoft has cancelled all the other CGI movies it had in the works so we probably won't be seeing that type of animation for a while. It wasn't the greatest movie in the world, and yes it had nothing to do with Final Fantasy, but it was still one of the best movies of that summer.

Alien 3 & 4, I agree these movies just could have been so cool and fell flat. Alien 3 came the closest seeing as how Fincher was trying to get back to the pure horror of Alien 1. I really think with one of the two movies they should have gone with their original idea for Alien 3. It was originally going to be Aliens invading earth, could you imagine? Fighting Aliens HORDES of Aliens on our own turf. With our new military, not just the marines, would have been so sweet. I'm sure it would have cost a lot of money, but if you had a good directory behind it ooohhh man.

Unbreakable: Awesome movie. Not sure why people did not like this movie. The irony and melodrama mirrors that of any good comic-book storyline. It was a story within a story.)
AI: This is a really tough call for me. It was a GOOD movie. However, I didn't like it. It wasn't entertainment for me. It was very thoughtful and very brave of Spielberg to do. It just wasn't my cup of tea.
John Woo: Can't stand his films. I'm sick of seeing the hero walking slo-mo through a flock of pigeons.

A.I.- It just kept getting worse and worse until finally, aliens had to come down to provide some sort of ending. As if the story wasn't weird enough, aliens had to come out of fucking NOWHERE.

The Royal Tannenbaums- an overall good movie, but the part where that guy slit his wrists and then showed the scars to his sister was pretty fucked up. I really thought the movie would have been much better if it were just less graphic right there.

Crossroads- Yes, the Britney Spears movie. Would have been the highest grossing movie in the history of time if there had been some T and A in it. It's not the 13 year old girls who have the money to see this movie over and over again, it's the males aged 18-50.

Yah the Reign of Fire previews were a lot better than the movie. It could have been decent but the movie just completely sucked which totally makes me wonder do they even watch their creations or put any thought into them before they release them???

And what upset me the most about Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within wasnt the movie but it was the fact that I read somewhere that they just added the Final Fantasy title to hopefully draw in sales to the movie. Totally weak!!!!
